❤️‍🔥ICYMI: This past weekend, June 26-27, over 1,000 people gathered in Los Angeles, California for a historic gathering of Filipinos in the diaspora: Kalayaan, a People’s Conference for Justice & Freedom.

BAYAN USA, Migrante USA, Malaya Movement USA, and many other Filipino organizations came together to bridge our efforts over the last several years—the many fights for freedom from detention, repression, exploitation, poverty, hunger, and militarization faced by our kababayan and community.

Just two days later, June 29, over 400 rallied at the LA Philippine Consulate after a delegation of Filipino migrant workers, caregivers, and mothers experiencing crises sought support from the Philippine government and were met with hostility and denied assistance.

This summit and rally are not only celebrations of our people’s victories, but spaces to learn and forge stronger unity across the country to boldly fight for better conditions in the face of abuse, war, corruption, and fascist attacks. It was sama-samang pagkilos in action.

The Summit participants affirmed in the Kalayaan Unity Statement that “As one Filipino people, we will fight for a better future and world for all of us, where genuine freedom is not just aspirational, but rather a reality for every one of us.”

Lumaban para sa kalayaan mula sa kagutuman at kahirapan ng mamamayan at para sa kasarinlan ng ating Inang Bayan! ✊🇵🇭 by @bayan_usa

So what’s the verdict? Colonizers or not? 👀

For people living under occupation and (neo)colonialism, decolonization is not a metaphor 🗣️

Pax Silica hasn’t broken ground yet, and stopping the project would save the lands and livelihoods of countless Filipino farmers, fisherfolk, workers, and Indigenous communities. Shutting down Pax Silica would also protect the environment and weaken the U.S. war machine 🌱

This moment calls for international solidarity and our unshakable commitment to national liberation! Join the Shut Down Pax Silica campaign network in the link in bio 🤝

✊🏽 Military Veterans across the US stand in solidarity with the Filipino people in their fight to SHUT DOWN Pax Silica and KICK the US Out of the Philippines!

This past weekend at the About Face: Veterans Against War 2026 National Convention, BAYAN USA and ICHRP US joined About Face Veterans for lunch and discussed the current political situation in the Philippines. Veterans heard sharings from BAYAN and ICHRP activists on recent immersions trips, and were eager to learn about the fight against US imperialism in the Philippines—including the occupation of indigenous land, the plunder of natural resources, and the systematic export of Filipino labor overseas. Veterans offered their experiences being deployed to the Philippines as service members and shared their reflections now learning about the conditions of the PH and expressed support for the mass movement fighting for national liberation and genuine sovereignty in the country

US military presence in the Philippines has a long history of violence against women and children, and violent repression of political activists and environmental defenders. Pax Silica is an initiative of US-Israel which will only increase the exploitation of Filipino peasants and workers, the destruction of the Philippines’ pristine forests with abundant biodiversity of life, and further create destructive weapons that the US and Israel will use in the genocide of Palestinians.

While the Philippine nation remains a semi-feudal neocolony of the US, Veterans and allies alike must vehemently fight and show our solidarity with the Filipino people in their struggle against US Imperialism and to uplift the call to advance National Democracy with a Socialist Perspective!

🇪🇨💥 Exposing the truth: Antonio from Frente Unido Inmigrantes Ecuatorianos (FUIE) and the International Migrants Alliance (IMA) explains the real conditions of the Ecuadorian people and their justness to fight for their rights and livelihood!

While Daniel Noboa, President of Ecuador tries to boast of his administration’s economic and social progress, especially through his Fénix Plan, the country remains subservient to U.S. interests, rather than meeting peoples’ needs.

Noboa speaks of Ecuador’s “strategic resources,” yet fails to mention the lack of adequate healthcare that afflicts the majority of working Ecuatorianos. He speaks of eradicating criminal violence, but fails to mention the violence of the state against activists and those organizing for better conditions.

In Ecuador and around the world, the people will continue to fight for their rights, for genuine development, and national sovereignty! 🇪🇨💥 by @bayan_usa

Anakbayan San Diego, Anakbayan Long Beach, Migrante San Diego came together to sing Lagi Ko Kayong Kasama after our SoCal Martial Law Action as tribute para sa kasamas natin ~ Negros 19.

Mabuhay ang Negros 19! by @bayan_usa

Tess Lazaro: Secretary of Semi-Colonial Affairs

While Lazaro makes empty speeches that promise “peace” at the UN, her delegation is selling out the Philippines to war profiteers like U.S. Under-Secretary of State Jacob Helberg, one of Trump’s stooges leading the Pax Silica Initiative.

Through Pax Silica, these politicians are promising the U.S. free land in the PH to fuel AI development vital to American warmongering and the surveillance state that targets our migrant communities. And just one month ago, Marcos signed Executive Order 122, to “develop” the country’s critical minerals industry, further plundering the wealth of the Philippine countryside to feed the U.S. supply chain for war.

The Marcos regime continues to be a willing puppet of U.S. warmongering that pushes our people from the homeland and endangers our migrants abroad. And we will continue to fight. In the Philippines and now in the U.S. the Shut Down Pax Silica Network has launched, showing the people want to fight for genuine agrarian reform, national industrialization, and a sovereign nation free from U.S. imperialist rule.

U.S. OUT OF THE PHILIPPINES!

Where is Lazaro? Where is the Philippine Consulate?

Di of Anakbayan USA responds to the empty words of Philippine foreign secretary Tess Lazaro at the UN General Assembly. The Philippine government claims to “protect Filipino migrants” but are only seen colluding with the fascist US state that has illegally detained, abused, and trafficked Filipinos.

Over 200 Filipino cruise ship workers and seafarers have been racially-profiled, harassed, held for questioning and deported at the Ports of Baltimore, Norfolk, Boston and San Diego since June 2025, with no adequate response from the PH government to ensure their safety. Most recently 11 Filipinos were taken from Boston denied from proper due process.

Kuya Raul, a union sanitation worker and resident from Jersey, was detained by ICE in August 2026. The Philippine Consulate promised they would work to prevent Raul’s transfer to another facility, but they failed. Raul was transferred to a detention facility in Mississippi, torn almost a thousand miles away from his family, friends, and allies.

We need to fight for our kababayan because we know Tess Lazaro won’t. Mobilize with us for the upcoming hearings of detained filipinos:
9/30: Ate Veronica & Kuya Raul
10/7: Kuyas Nestor & Desmond
10/9: Kuya Richard

Attend the Defend Migrants Alliance Call on 9/29
RSVP: tinyurl.com/DMASEPT29

And join us in the fight to free all detained migrants on the national day of action 10/7!

JUSTICE FOR FILIPINO MIGRANTS!

👋🗽Liza Marcos, it looks like you had a good time in NYC! Jogging through Central Park, dining with Diplomats, getting a sneak peek of the new iPhone - sanaol may pang-lakwatsa!

😠Meanwhile, millions of Filipinos continue to demand answers about your family’s billions in stolen funds and bogus flood control projects that are failing to protect communities from being submerged or swept away in devastating storms.

💸While you attend Melania’s “Fostering the Future Together” luncheon, your husband is promising the future of the Philippines to foreign interests through Pax Silica, the broader Luzon Economic Corridor, and countless deals with the U.S. military to have its way with our country.

WHILE YOU FROLIC, WE FIGHT - for the interests of the people, for genuine development, for national sovereignty! 💜 by @bayan_usa
