Join us on the Wednesday of Sukkot for a special Shevet b’Sukkah to celebrate this joyous & bountiful holiday and kick off a new season of Jewishly meditating in community together ✨🍃🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏽‍♂️🍋🌾

Pam, Rebecca & Amelia (this year’s Shevet East Bay organizers) will all be there and are excited to share more about the Shevet East Bay Jewish mindfulness collective. All are welcome— please RSVP as capacity is limited!

It has been a whirlwind of an Elul - overflooooowing with festival and retreat facilitation, cross-country flying, road-tripping, transition, wedding officiation, big work happenings— and I’m so grateful to have landed at home in the bay, and to be moving into this new year with dear soul family.

Entering into the holidays tired but grateful for life’s fullness and excited for this new chapter and all that is to come. May 5787 be the sweetest year yet 💕 by @beckyschisler

Losing myself in a painting and emerging a little bit changed, every time. Grateful for the way beauty-making shifts perspective and all the life lessons this medium teaches me, like

🎨 going slow and letting go because the realest beauty and aliveness comes through what I can’t plan or control
🎨 how long certain processes take, and how patience and commitment always yield something — even if it wasn’t what I had in mind
🎨 the mess and muck can become a gorgeous background upon which resolution shines
🎨 colors are only ever differentiated and known within relationship— and shift and change depending on who’s next to them. Like you and me :) by @beckyschisler

The fall holidays are an opportunity to connect deeply with ourselves and our surroundings, but often the stress of the logistics keep us from being truly present.

HA MALKAH B’SADEH. 👑🌾

Elul is a time of spiritual intimacy and mutual desire between us and the divine. “The Queen is in the field”— God is among us, closer than close, the veil is thin, and it’s time to return, to remember what’s most real and important in life.

And y’all, we need to shift this old story that Shekhina is in exile. She is HERE, breathing through us, loving us into being, strengthening us and moving us forward on a path of wisdom and love in every moment that we remember her and open to her guidance. That remembering is ours to do, and that’s what this time is all about.

A teaching for Tu b’Av! True love celebrates the beauty beneath the surface. 💞

While inner beauty is innate and enduring, the garments that we use to enhance our beauty are changeable. There is an illusory nature to garments, status, money, or access that can obscure the truth that we are all innately worthy of love, and beautiful in our own unique ways. While garments can be captivating, they are not the person they adorn.

May the light of this Tu b’Av full moon help us to see how interchangeable our garments are, so that we can soften our grasp on them, and nurture and celebrate our innate beauty and worthiness 🌕💓 by @beckyschisler
