What a gift to make friends with your doubts. To welcome them to sit beside you as you talk to the trees.

And when the trees talk back… well I don’t know if there’s a clearer sign of arrival.

Participation & reciprocity are non negotiables . Treat “other” like trees, walk in the shadows without fear, knowing they are in right relation with the light. As are you. Always.

Be bright, be bold, bring it all.

Please join me in prayers & gratitude as we lay to rest our beloved Boss Babe.

She helped so many of us step out of the confines of our humility and blessed us with the ability to believe in dreaming, and dreaming big.

We thank you, beloved boss babe, for stretching our imaginations and reminding us to believe in our visions.

So many had, in fact, forgotten just how powerful a woman in her whimsy truly is. And you helped show us all that even in this world, created in the image of men and centered on their success, even here, women too can dominate.

But this is where we bid you adieu, for we didn’t come to dominate.

We are done propping up a world that does not center the well-being of the very earth we stand upon, which nourishes us and gives us life.

We are done competing in systems that do not center all life on this mystical home we call Earth.

Beloved boss babe, may you rest easy knowing your work is done. Your points have been proven to all with eyes to see. There are those who will never see your greatness, no matter how many mountains you summit, and we are done trying to catch their approving eyes.

As we cease the tireless games, we finally begin to know quiet. And in this quiet space, we begin to hear ourselves and all things. The more we listen, the more we hear. And we are done being silent about what we hear.

May every babe who ever bossed be abundantly blessed as she enters her oracle era & graces the world with what she truly came to share. by @becomingthepractice

Dance like you belong!

Why do they say "Dance like no one is watching?"

When did we become afraid of one another?
Who told you freedom is found only away from the eyes of others?

What if freedom can be grown together?
We are warm blooded creatures afterall.
You think you came all this way to hide?

If you had wanted to hide you would have stayed in the dark with the stars.
No. You didn't come to hide.

What if we are waiting to celebrate with you?
What if we need someone to step in to the center and move like "I Matter"
Like "My Joy Matters"

We need someone to show us how when life shines through it can be as blinding as the sun.
It's hard to look at something that bright, but you are.

You really are.

Do you see the stars crowding in the sky to catch a glimpse of the way sparkle?
Dance like they are watching

Do you hear the rustling of the wind?
That gentle applause of a thousand leaves...
Each praying that next time they come back with feet. So that rather than falling they can stomp with pride upon the earthen brown of their mother?

Dance like this is your one precious chance because it goes so much faster than you've been lead to believe

Can you feel what happens when you dance like every thing has the eyes of a grandmother whose heart has been broken so many times that there's nothing left to shatter.

I’m so genuinely honored to share my conversation with @wholistic_shine on @becomingthepractice TODAY!

Tamu is a kitchen alchemist, flower essence practitioner, and student of Cha Dao -the Way of Tea.

She’s been nurturing a plant-centered life for 30 years and is currently stewarding Ido, a backyard tea sanctuary in Oakland, CA.

We talk about threshold moments, the ones we avoid, the ones that crack us open, and the ones that become the practice itself.

Perimenopause as a rite of passage.
Plant medicine as a mirror.
The grandmothers who shaped her.
And how after three years of tea practice, she still calls herself a new student.

There’s so many thoughtful reflections in this conversation that there’s something for both those who already know her & those who are just meeting her.

Something that has been really beautiful about this project is I’m speaking with a lot of women who do not often share their stories.
All of these women are powerful and impressive.
And they all know that.
And.
For some of them, myself included. I think there is an unconscious cap to what we believe our field of impact is or could be

It’s really beautiful to participate in expanding the reach of these women’s stories. And my hope is that it’s also in invitation or reminder about how important everyone’s story is. Your existence is proof of your preciousness.
