FROM THE HOSPITAL TO THE HIIT STUDIO!!! 🥹❤️‍🔥

I am SO freaking excited to finally announce that I’m joining the team at @sweatandtonic as a HIIT instructor!!!

For those who don’t know me, I’m a Registered Kinesiologist and spend my days working clinically in cardiology, chronic pain and physical rehabilitation. Exercise physiology, human movement and using exercise as medicine are quite literally my day job.

But there’s another side of me that LOVES performance.
I play competitive rugby. I race HYROX. I run half marathons. I lift heavy shit. I’ve spent YEARS personal training and teaching group fitness — and I genuinely just love seeing what the human body is capable of when we ask a little more of it.

So getting to bring all of those worlds together in the HIIT studio feels VERY VERY cool. 🥹

Expect loud music, heavy weights, extremely specific form cues, a lot of energy and me reminding you that YES, you absolutely do have another rep in you.

I want you moving well. I want you lifting HEAVY. I want you working harder than you thought you could. And I want you leaving that studio feeling like a weapon. ❤️‍🔥

Could not be more excited for this next chapter.

SEE YOU IN THE HIIT STUDIO BABYYYYY!!!! ❤️‍🔥🫡 taken in Toronto, Ontario by @bee.spiers

It’s never really about the race, it’s about who I had to become in the process.

HYROX Ottawa was about redemption. The result is exciting, but what I’m most proud of is everything that happened before the start line: the early mornings, the workouts nobody saw, the runs I didn’t feel like doing, and the decision to keep showing up when I was kicked down multiple times.

The race wasn’t perfect, and in run 6 I started battling an ugly quad cramp that I thought for sure would have ended my race. I had to dig deeper than I wanted to but that’s what made it meaningful. Not because everything went to plan, but because I kept moving forward when it didn’t.

What makes this race even more meaningful is that this wasn’t just for me. Together, we raised over $500 for women in need. YOU did that.

1:37 ➡️ 1:32 ➡️ 1:26 ➡️ HYROX Toronto 2026 👀

A reminder that consistency compounds. Not overnight. Not in a week. But over months of showing up again and again.

To everyone who donated, cheered me on, sent a message or followed along with my training: thank you. This wasn’t a win just for me, but a win for the girls who are resilient af and relentless in the pursuit of their goals.

I end every single class by saying “give someone a compliment, make someone else’s day better”, because it really is that simple. 🫶🤍 taken in Toronto, Ontario by @bee.spiers

Part One: I don’t think I ever really talked about how awful HYROX Toronto 2025 was for me.

I showed up to that race completely alone. Not one single person there to cheer me on. Just me, the goal, and the race.

I was going through what was probably one of the darkest periods of my life. I had lost my job, was dealing with an eviction, betrayal, and navigating some pretty significant changes in my personal life. To say I was going THROUGH it would be an understatement lol.

But I showed up anyway. I gave that race absolutely everything I had, and missed my goal by two minutes.

I asked a stranger to take my photo at the finish line, cried the entire Uber ride home, and spent the rest of the evening crying on my best friend’s couch.

Fast forward exactly one year.

Same race. Same girl. VERY different circumstances.

This year, I showed up surrounded by SO much love. My best friends, my Sweat & Tonic crew, past and present clients I’ve had the privilege of training, and so many people who have become such a special part of my life over the last year.

And as for that goal I missed last year?

Yeah, I didn’t just meet it. I demolished it. I cut 10 minutes off of my time, in just 1 year.

I rewrote the story.

Because somewhere between those two finish lines, I didn’t just become a better athlete. I built a life that I am so unbelievably happy to be living. I am surrounded by people that love me, and I never have to question whether or not they do.

So if you’re in a rough patch right now, remember things get better. You can change the script, you can write your own happy ending.

Anyway, I think we can officially call this one a redemption arc. 🥹

HYROX Toronto 2026, you have my whole heart. ❤️ So many thank yous, so many shout outs, come back for part two.

The secret to getting up early is really simple, you just have to go to bed early too. Sometimes (especially in the summer) it can be hard to go to bed when it’s still bright out - so I built this routine to help power down whilst simplifying my morning 🌞🌅😴 taken in Toronto, Ontario by @bee.spiers

Chatham, Cape Cod, part one: because the hydrangeas deserved their own post. 🪻💐🌼 Truly the most whimsical, magical little place. This trip was honestly a dream come true. When I buy a house I’ll be planting massive hydrangea bushes and putting a little sign with my house’s name on it 🏡 taken in Chatham, Cape Cod, MA by @bee.spiers
