My booth (w1146) is all set up @icff_official !! I love how the sconces frame the diamond mirror, and all the points of light of the lamps!

I always love installing the pieces together, I learn so much seeing them side by side. If you are walking the show come and say hiπŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»β˜ΊοΈ by @beginnerceramics

Go pick up a copy to learn about #tecopottery (it was all new to me) or commune with the real thing and head to my website and get a vaseπŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

I’m thinking about cutoffs, baubles, and knots.

What happens to the extras? When there’s no plan, just smooshing?☺️ by @beginnerceramics

Repost from @wallpapermag πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»

For decades, the funeral industry has offered families generic products with little regard for individuality or design. UK-based Urn Studios (@urnstudios) is setting out to change that. Founded in 2024 by Merel Swart and now launching its first US collection, the platform invited seven American artists to rethink the urn as an object of identity and enduring design, creating pieces that reflect the lives they commemorate rather than a single idea of remembrance.

Ceramic artists @abbey_peters, C.C. Boyce (@boycestudio), Hui-Yong Kim, Jesse Hamerman (@jesseevan), Marianna Jamadi, @michelle_wen_artist and Philip Kupferschmidt (@_pk_ceramics), each bring their own approach to form, craft and materiality, from tactile glazes and sculptural silhouettes to vessels that integrate candles and flowers. By making contemporary options more visible and accessible, Urn Studios hopes to broaden public understanding of what an urn can look like, and the role it can play within the home. The range reimagines the urn as a creative object that supports a person’s memory and story to live on.

Ceramicist Jesse Hamerman founded Beginner Ceramics with a simple philosophy: to stay curious. To approach clay with openness, playfulness, and a willingness to keep learning.

That spirit is evident in the Sand Whirling Ceramic Urn. Its looping handles feel almost as though they have been sketched around the vessel, creating movement while the form itself remains calm and balanced.

Expressive without feeling overstated. Sculptural without losing its warmth. A handmade memorial for someone whose personality deserves to be remembered with the same individuality.

Part of the Urn Studios US Collection.

At Urn Studios, we’re passionate about bringing contemporary craft into a space that has long been overlooked.

This striking royal blue urn by Brooklyn ceramicist Jesse Hamerman (@beginnerceramics) is a perfect example. Developed from one of Jesse’s earliest vessel forms, it pairs bold handles and sculptural geometry with a sense of playfulness rarely found in traditional memorial objects.

Influenced by Memphis design, Art Deco, and 1970s minimalism, Jesse’s work embraces colour, curiosity and experimentation, creating pieces that feel expressive, optimistic, and full of life. Ideal for someone who lived with creativity and character.

Now available as part of our newly launched US Collection.
