Adrian Heritage Classic 8K - 27:40

Another meet with a crazy PR and I couldn’t be more exited. Had a good strategy coming into the race and it worked out perfectly, and I will definitely be using it again. Officially 7th all time on the Cleary XC board, but there’s still some more time to cut off. Next meet October 17th in Oberlin OH.

LCC 8K - 28:07!

3 words, LFG. What an amazing first 8k of the season. Prepped beforehand amazingly, and my splits were exactly where I wanted them, the weather, everything just lined up perfectly. Proud of the whole team and especially my roommate Noah for helping me push near the end. Another meet next week Saturday at Adrian 🔜 by @ben_iobe_running

XC IS BACK ‼️

Started the season at the Wayne State / Detroit Mercy 4 mile race. Saying the course was hilly would be an understatement but still a super fun way to start the season. Final time was 23:01. Lansing Invite later this week 🔜 by @ben_iobe_running

Michigan State Spartan Invite (1500 & 800)

I ran a really good 1500 for running that race for the first time ever with a time of 4:32. Shoutout to Noah for pacing me for the whole race but I did pass him at the end. 😅 For the 800 I was still exhausted from my past race and did not do very well on it but that’s no excuse, I know I could’ve done better. Anyway onto the next meet on Saturday @ Spring Arbor 🔜 by @ben_iobe_running

Indiana Wesleyan 5K - 17:43

Good start to the outdoor season, it felt a little different with how hot it was but the weather didn’t affect me at all. Anyway I’m proud of my performance and my teammates performance as well, sadly I’m not running on day 2 but now I keep training hard for my next meet at Indian Tech

Aquinas Meet - 1/30/26, 1600 & 800

First time doing two events in one day and I was very happy with both of them, in the 1600m I got out really strong and was able to to finish at 5:00 flat, and honestly I’m very happy with that. In the 800m I ran a 2:20 which is my best ever 800m open time and I’m happy with that as well because I ran the mile before that and was exhausted. Next Friday we’re back at it in Indiana Tech and I’m running the 5K, hopefully can do much better than Hillsdale. by @ben_iobe_running

1/09/26, Capital Invite, (Ohio) 3K - 10:18

Not where I want to be time wise but still not too upset considering I’m not familiar with indoor season quite yet and I had a long winter break that I didn’t get a lot of training in. I was able to stay in between my teammates again but there is always room for improvement. The next meet is a familiar race (5K) at a familiar place (Hillsdale) aim very exited for the 5K because I haven’t ran a competitive 5K since cross country state my senior year, which was over a year ago ago.

GVSU Holiday Open 3K - 10:08

For my first ever indoor meet I’m very happy with the result I got. Not the best placement but can’t complain with lots of D1 & D2 schools.

I need to not save as much energy for the end of the race because it’s energy I’m not using. Overall, I’m happy with yesterday’s performance.

NAIA Great Lakes Challenge (29:02)

I was finally able to put another PR on the board with being so close to sub 29. I’m happy with my performance and I’m happy with how my whole team performed too. Last meet in two weeks, the WHAC Championship and Cleary is ready to show out‼️

Muskegon Jayhawk Invite 10/11/25

I’m not one to complain about a PR but I know I could’ve done better, I fell onto concrete about a mile and a half in but I go back up and kept going. It slowed me down mentally but I still got a PR, back at it again next week at Aquinas for the NAIA Great Lakes challenge by @ben_iobe_running

SHU Saints Invite 9/26/25

Anther hot race in the books and I was expecting to run sub 30 but sadly I wasn’t able to, I ran a 30:17 and I wasn’t very happy with the result. It’s good to run this course and get it out of the way because I’m running here again for the conference meet, still preparing for that, back at it in Muskegon next week!! by @ben_iobe_running
