🔥Heaters, I have a feeling we’re not in Los Angeles anymore!🔥

Heaters summer is in full effect and it’s time for some adventures. This week we’re up in southeast Alaska with my dear friend and artist, #EverettAthorp. Everett and I have been fishing together in Alaska for the last 10+ years at @steamboatbay. Everett is an incredible fishing guide in the summer and an even more incredible artist during the rest of the year, a true double threat! It’s my honor to share some of his native painting and carving practice with the beloved Heaters audience down in the lower 48. Fish on, art on! Hope everyone is having a great start to summer ❤️‍🔥

🔥Welcome to the Emma Webster world! If art appears inside a theater but the theater exists inside of a gallery, is the art the show or is the theater the show?🤔 Artist Emma Webster makes a compelling argument for both. Friday Heaters this is a big one: we’re joined today by the man, the myth, the distinguished art gallerist legend himself, Jeffrey Deitch. We’re going full immersion as Jeffrey takes us into the theater and fantasy lands of Emma Webster’s art.

🔥 Chicago Heat!? We’ve dabbled in NYC, championed LA, but it was finally time to explore the 3rd coast. Teaming up with my good friend @apucks and her amazing arts organization @gertie.chicago, Friday Heaters dipped out to the windy city for Chicago Exhibition Weekend, a power-packed three-day celebration of Chicago’s vibrant arts community. There is great energy and renewal taking place in the Chicago art scene and we had to go experience the heat ourselves!

Um…Friday Heaters may have just hit next level. The game just. got. upped. For the first time ever, we’re walking through a major institution, the @hammer_museum (whoa), with the chief curator, aka the legend @cornelia.butler (mega whoa). For those new to the art scene, Connie is a big deal. Cue the intro, here we go! 🔥

And we’re back! This #olgabalema sculpture left me awestruck and captivated. If you’re scratching your head, wait! At first glance I too thought, “what is this?” but as the minutes ticked by I became enraptured with the shapes, textures, light reflections, and interplay between all the pieces. My friend @hannahhoffmangallery’s eye and curation is next level and one to be celebrated. There’s a new Triple H in town and it’s these Hannah Hoffman Heaters!

@chiharushiota red heater. Word on the street is this took a team of 13 people, 800+ lbs of yarn, and a lot of time. I once crocheted some headbands for my a cappella group in college. taken in Hammer Museum by @benhereandthere
