Congratulations to our friends at @nolawater on another successful NOLA Water Summit + Gala! We were proud to support this year’s events through volunteer support, registration, and audio storytelling.

As Executive Director Jessica Dandridge shared, water is life. It connects us to one another, our communities, and the places we call home. We’re grateful to support spaces that help our communities better understand our water systems, infrastructure, and how deeply interconnected they are with our everyday lives and the future of New Orleans.

Here’s to another year of learning, connecting, and moving our city forward!

NOLA fam, we need a few extra hands!

The BGE New Orleans Hub is excited to support @nolawater's Second Annual NOLA Water Summit + Gala, and we’re looking for volunteers to join us.

If you have a couple of hours to give, come hang with us, meet some great folks, and help support an important week of conversations around water and our city.

Interested? Sign up to volunteer:

we do it for the culture 🤎 our BGE NOLA hub (@bgenolahub) shows us what it means to care for the environment around you

Join us this month to Preserve Our Village 🌍 This campaign is to raise financial support for Black Girl Environmentalist’s programming. We have 14 cities where we host events, bring members together, learn new skills and advocate for climate action in our communities. We desire to continue to provide this space and more for all of our members.

The link to donate is in @blackgirlenvironmentalist’s bio. Share with your friends and community, because it truly does take a village ✨

This month we would also love to hear your POV. We want to share the stories of our impact to showcase why organizations like ours are needed. Create an Instagram post or reel, tag us as a collaborator. Want to create a blogpost or have us post on your behalf instead? Email coordinator@blackgirlenvironmentalist.org

Come hang with the @bgenolahub at our Salon & Sip!

We’re taking over the @dewdropinnnola for a midweek night out with good people, good conversation, light bites, and plenty of time to mix, mingle, and connect with fellow BGE members.

We’ll sprinkle in a little conversation about New Orleans’ climate future and ways to get involved locally, including pledging to vote, but this one is all about getting together and enjoying community.

Wednesday, August 19
6:30 to 8 PM
Dew Drop Inn
FREE to attend

Light bites are on us, and drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.

And the night doesn’t have to end at 8! Stick around for the Dew Drop Inn’s Jam Session and enjoy live music, local talent, surprise musicians, and a little New Orleans nightlife.

Come sip, meet somebody new, catch up with the crew, and stay for the music.

Joy is one of our greatest inheritances and we’re grateful for moments like these with people who just get it.

Thank you to @oxfamamerica for inviting the @bgenolahub to share space, build community, and celebrate the power of joy together. Here’s to protecting the people, places, and traditions that make moments like these possible 🥂
