Happy Friday 🍸
A quiet corner, a perfectly made martini, and an interior designed to make you stay a little longer. At The Shepherd, Mayfair, luxury is found in the details.

Small rooms are only a problem if you treat them like small rooms.

The guestrooms at The Shepherd, Mayfair began with a constraint and ended with a philosophy. Narrow grids and modest ceiling heights, the kind of things previous architects had tried to demolish away, were embraced instead. Every element has a purpose. Every detail is resolved. Luxury comes from bespoke Italian craftsmanship and carefully chosen materials, not from square footage.

Think yacht cabin. Think Mayfair. Double-height bay windows pull in the light and the street, and the rest quietly does exactly what it should.

Just around the corner from The Shepherd, Mayfair, on the quieter end of Hertford Street, there are 16 homes that are worth knowing about.

Numbers 36 and 37 Hertford Street are two Georgian townhouses, one meticulously restored, one carefully rebuilt, now brought together as a single address. The residences range from one to three bedrooms, finished with the same quality and care that runs through the wider development. Residents also have exclusive access to the services of The Shepherd hotel next door, which makes the whole thing rather hard to argue with.

Shepherd Market has always done things quietly. Hidden behind Park Lane, cobbled, unhurried, and largely unchanged for nearly three centuries. The Shepherd, Mayfair sits within it as though it has always been there, because most of it has.

What was once a tired and underperforming hotel is now an 82-key boutique destination, refurbished from the ground up, extended upward in lightweight timber, and finished to a standard that the neighbourhood deserves. Three quarters of the original building remains standing. The rest has been thoughtfully added.

Barcelona’s skyline just got a sophisticated interior upgrade.

Taking on the iconic former Banco Sabadell tower, our mission was to pivot from its corporate history toward a more dynamic, hospitality-led future.
