Our architectural vision has been to create something truly exceptional in the heart of Mayfair. Working closely with Bain Capital, Orka and Shepherd&, we've crafted spaces that balance timeless elegance with contemporary luxury.

From the grand public areas to the intimate dining rooms and bars, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The collaboration has been brilliant, and seeing these spaces come to life demonstrates what's possible when great teams work towards a shared vision.

Set to open this month, The Shepherd will feature 91 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, world-class dining, and exceptional wellness facilities. We couldn't be prouder to have played such an integral role in shaping what will undoubtedly become one of London's most distinguished addresses.

The Shepherd represents a significant milestone for BGY as we continue to expand our presence in the hospitality sector. We're increasingly focused on this sector, and with several exciting projects currently underway, this is very much the first of whats to come.

Transforming a first-generation Canary Wharf office into one of London’s most technically advanced, sustainable workplaces was no small feat. YY London (formerly 30 South Colonnade) proves what is possible when rigorous Architectural Technology meets ambitious retrofit.

Instead of demolition, we retained and extended the existing concrete and steel frame. The result?..

🌍 10,260 tonnes of CO2e saved (equivalent to planting 51,300 trees).
⚡ 62% reduction in energy demand thanks to a high-performance facade and all-electric operation.
📱 SmartScore Platinum rating - the first in Canary Wharf - powered by a live Digital Twin and a bespoke tenant app.
🏆 BREEAM Outstanding, EPC A, and NABERS 5-Star achieved, far exceeding the original brief.

Thrilled to share that 20 Giltspur Street has been shortlisted in the Retrofit category at this year's @nlalondon Awards.

Bound by St Paul's sightlines, Roman archaeology and neighbouring buildings on all sides, the site offered no room to expand. So we didn't. Instead, we developed a 'floors up' jacking strategy with @elliottwood_partnership, lifting the existing trading floors in situ to convert two levels into three, delivering a 41% net area increase entirely within the existing envelope. 80% of the original steel structure is retained, achieving a structural embodied carbon performance of just 89kgCO2/m².

At the heart of the scheme sits a preserved section of Roman London Wall, a Scheduled Monument that will be opened up as a public exhibition route for the first time.

Now nearing completion, we can't wait to see the final outcome. Huge congratulations to the whole team and everyone involved!

Storey at Broadgate Tower has been shortlisted at the SBID Awards 2026! @sbidawards

Commissioned by @britishlandplc we transformed 12,900 sq ft of Broadgate Tower into a premium, fully fitted workspace for small businesses taking their first step into private offices. Six adaptable office suites, bookable meeting rooms and a central collaborative hub, all designed to flex and grow alongside the people who use them.

Sustainability was woven into every material decision, from carbon-negative cork flooring and zero-VOC clay plaster to acoustic panels made from recycled plastic bottles and carpet tiles manufactured from reclaimed fishing nets. Sophisticated, responsible and built to last.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in this very special project. It was a truly collaborative effort and one the whole team should be proud of.

A significant milestone for the Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, Spitalfields, and Banglatown.

This is a complex, culturally rich site, one that demands you listen before you draw. As Masterplan Architect, our role has been to develop a vision for the estate that holds its history carefully while genuinely making space for what comes next.

We are thrilled to announce that our masterplan for the evolution of this much-loved east London estate has been officially approved.

The consented scheme spans approximately 38,000 sq.m and brings together the sensitive restoration of the listed Boiler House and Cooperage with new workspaces, retail, community, and market space across the wider estate. The ambition throughout has been to add to the richness of this community rather than override it.

There is still an administrative chapter to go until mid-September, but it is a milestone worth acknowledging, and a reflection of the dedication of a brilliant wider team.

We are deeeelighted to share that Buckley Gray Yeoman has been shortlisted for two awards at the @worldarchfest 2026. Two projects, two categories, two different parts of the country and both doing something we believe in to our core: using design to transform places that matter.

What makes these nominations particularly exciting is what they represent. Both are large-scale, complex and rooted in communities outside London, where thoughtful design can really shape how people live, work and connect for generations to come.. A proud moment for the practice! 🎉

Wheat Quarter | IJM Land
Shortlisted: Future Projects, Masterplanning

In Welwyn Garden City, our 5.2-hectare masterplan for the former Shredded Wheat Factory site will create a new community of 578 homes across Build to Rent, an aparthotel, extra care housing and townhouses. The centrepiece is the sensitive refurbishment of the original 1920s Grade II listed grain silos into a new leisure destination. Fully electric and rooted in Ebenezer Howard's founding Garden City principles, Wheat Quarter is designed to become a new civic quarter for Hertfordshire.

Shortlisted: Future Projects, Mixed Use

On Bristol's harbourside, we are repositioning the Grade II listed former Lloyds building into a vibrant multi-tenant destination. At 310,000 sq ft, it is the largest speculative office repositioning project currently underway in Bristol city centre. New public routes, retail and an activated facade onto the public amphitheatre will give this landmark back to the city.

A huge congratulations to the talented teams who are bringing these visions to life, and to all those shortlisted alongside us. We will be sharing more details on both projects over the coming months..

1 Georges Square is complete, and we're glad to finally share the finished photography.

Situated on Bristol's floating harbour, this 100,000 sq ft workplace transformation was delivered across our architecture and interior design studios in Bristol and London. The brief called for a retrofit-first approach, retaining the existing structure whilst giving the building a considered new identity, inside and out.

Working across both studios, we have created a workspace that is functional without being formulaic, with interior spaces designed with rigour, care and attention to detail.

Bristol's tech sector is worth £1.7bn to the regional economy and growing. This building was designed with that context in mind.

We are pleased to share that Buckley Gray Yeoman is now a signatory to the Circularity in Practice pledges.

As part of this, we are making two clear commitments. Xoon, we will replace the fluorescent lighting in our own studio with second-hand LED luminaires salvaged from a CAT-A fit-out, making sure we embed circular principles into our own daily operations.

Alongside this, by June 2027, a Circular Economy Statement will become standard across all our project reporting. This will ensure we are consistently documenting the existing work we are already doing around the reuse of materials on projects to reduce waste, lower upfront carbon emissions and extend the life of existing products.

43 Brook Green. Built 1937. Home to LEO - one of the first computers put to work for live commercial operations in 1951. Now: SYSTEMS.

A complete refurbishment for @generalerojects and Neo Capital. 125,814 sq ft of workspace, shaped by what already existed.

Exposed beams. A new rooftop pavilion. An active ground floor. BREEAM Excellent. EPC A. Just under 13,000 sq ft of green roof.

A building that was never really behind the times.
