Don’t let Maria Elvira Salazar 🤡 fool you. She’s a broken record of fear-mongering, fake news, and boogeymen when the real threat is here: cronyism, corruption and an affordability crisis that is making it impossible for Miamians to live in Miami anymore. by @billycorben

A Tallahassee civil jury found Florida GOP Rep. Fabian Basabe preyed on young straight Republican men in the State Capitol.

His former legislative aide Nicolas Frevola @golf_guy_nick and intern Jacob Cutbirth sued him, and Basabe was found liable for sexually harassing and battering them, and defaming the aide and his mother, and ordered to pay them $450,000 in damages.

Basabe has been accused under oath of sexual misconduct by no less than five men (mostly Republican) including one who testified in open court that Basabe drugged and raped him in 2003. by @billycorben

Over the last week, accused serial sex pest and adjudicated sexual harasser Florida Rep. Fabian Basabe has had multiple police departments called on him at multiple early voting sites for reportedly “harassing” and “intimidating” people with a microphone, including voters, campaign workers, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Miami Beach Commissioner Joe Magazine.

I asked Miami Beach Police about the use of microphones and they said it was okay (within reason). So I got one of my own. If he’s there bullying and lying, I’ll be there telling the truth.

When Basabe got too loud trying to shout me down, they shut him down. #BecauseMiami

Basabe has been accused of sexual misconduct by no less than five young men (mostly Republicans) and was found liable by a jury in July of sexually harassing and battering his male former legislative aide and intern and defaming that aide and his mother, and orders to pay $450,000 in damages. Also at that trial, a man identified as T.S. testified under oath in open court (outside the presence of the jury) that Basabe drugged him and raped him in 2003. Basabe denies all the accusations. by @billycorben

🦹🏻‍♂️ VICE CITY VILLAINS: Texas company Suntex wants Miami voters to trust them with a 💸 75 YEAR BELOW MARKET GIVEAWAY of our public waterfront at Virginia Key 🛥️ but they keep hiring EX-CONS, ELECTION FRAUDSTERS and CORRUPT POLITICIANS to sell this SHADY DEAL ⛅️ #BecauseMiami by @billycorben

Florida State Sen. Alexis Calatayud co-wrote the Live Local Act — which stripped local governments of control over what size buildings go up in our neighborhoods — and then went to the Four Seasons in Miami to teach million/billionaire developers how to exploit the law to destroy our communities.

Calatayud and Vicki Lopez were the main sponsors of this disastrous bill in the Florida legislature that has gridlocked Miami with corruption, dysfunction and nonstop construction — and both of them are on the ballot now. SAVE MIAMI! GO VOTE for Richard Lamondin and Rob Piper. @richardforflorida @robpiperheretoserve by @billycorben

BIPARTISAN F*CKERY: Vicki Lopez is the FOURTH of 13 Miami-Dade County Commissioners who were originally APPOINTED and NOT ELECTED by the people to control a $14.3 BILLION budget. That’s not just unAmerican — it’s ANTI-American. #BecauseMiami

And was Lopez’s appointment a bipartisan SHADY BACKROOM DEAL that involved “donating” OUR MONEY to a nonprofit that swing vote Commissioner Marleine Bastien founded and was her sole source of income for YEARS???

NOBODY wants to talk about it.

While RAISING TAXES & FEES and SLASHING SERVICES, Miami-Dade commissioners have been MISAPPROPRIATING PUBLIC MONEY to POLITICALLY-CONNECTED “nonprofits” that operate as their own PERSONAL SLUSH FUNDS:

A3 Foundation: Commissioner Anthony Rodriguez helped direct 1.2 MILLION IN TAXPAYER DOLLARS to a new nonprofit for his annual CountryFest rodeo, with questions about spending documentation and a county audit that is still UNFINISHED OVER 15 MONTHS LATER.

FYFL United: Commissioner Oliver Gilbert reportedly directed about $3.2 MILLION in PUBLIC FUNDS to a nonprofit founded by his deputy chief of staff, raising questions about disclosure, oversight, and potential conflicts of interest. by @billycorben

😂😂😂 You crazy for this one @erodforcongress! What happened to “America First” @maelvirasalazar? 🤡🤡🤡 by @billycorben

Inspector General says Suntex, the Texas company that runs the publicly owned Miami Beach Marina SCREWED taxpayers out of over $660,000 after allegedly under-reporting revenue to the city. And the city SHUT DOWN the marina last month because it’s literally falling apart.

Suntex is one of the companies trying to hijack publicity owned Rickenbacker Marina and Gramps Getaway waterfront property in a below market deal negotiated 10 years ago. #BecauseMiami by @billycorben

Florida GOP State Rep. Fabian Basabe has been accused under oath of s*xual misconduct by at least five straight men.

Some of the incidents allegedly occurred at “pool parties” at Basabe’s Miami house (which he named “Shiloh”).

After a three-day trial, Basabe was found liable by a civil jury for s*xually harassing and battering his former legislative aide Nicolas Frevola @golf_guy_nick and intern Jacob Cutbirth, and defaming the aide and his mother: Basabe was ordered to pay $450,000 in damages.

Basabe wrote to the Miami New Times in September: "Seriously, look at me. Open your eyes and look at me. I don't need to r*pe shit." He previously told the Miami Herald the allegations were "false" and "baseless." by @billycorben

Florida has suffered under single party rule for over a quarter century and now ranks 49th out of 50 states for affordability. It’s time to change things up. It’s not personal or partisan, it’s simple: if you’re an incumbent, you gotta go. If you’re in power, it’s time to give someone else a chance. We can’t complain about corruption, waste and theft then keep doing the same thing and voting for the same crap.

That’s consistent with my positions on municipal and county referendum items, and state constitutional amendments, as well. To curb corruption and stop the abuse of taxpayer dollars.

On Constitutional Amendment 3, I share all the concerns about the unintended and intended consequences. This is my protest vote to slow the public money train and force local governments to prioritize and be more responsible with our money.

The only candidate I’m recommending for re-election is Coral Gables Commissioner Melissa Castro. by @billycorben

Miami Mayor Eileen Higgins and Commissioners Miguel Gabela, Rolando Escalona and Ralph Rosado are going to bankrupt the city, raise our taxes and double the debt to $2 billion. All while lining the pockets of their cronies — who will kick back some cash to them. #BecauseMiami
