Finally slayed the sub 3 dragon!!

It was such a steady run, and it was all thanks to a complete team effort out there.

Boys, your presence was key in helping me get over that hump. Forever grateful, and so pumped to see you boys claim that win you worked so hard for!!

To all those who made the trip to support us and aid us, that is the type of stuff that you think about in the late stages of the run. You give us purpose!!

Being able to come away from this with not only a sub 3 marathon, but a group of special people that I get to continue to build with is the type of stuff that brings real fulfillment.

Edmonton!! That was fun, another step in the right direction.

Came away with a 3:03:40 marathon personal best, was 8th in my age group and 69th place overall.

But more importantly, I wasn’t all consumed by the result of a sub 3 hour marathon finish. I work so hard for these moments and I wasn’t going to let the idea of it slipping away take from everything a marathon event is.

Admittedly, when I looked back at BMO I did let the result bring me down during both the last stretch and the aftermath. It mattered a lot to me that I make that shift. I love running so much and if I am to do this and ultimately go beyond that, it was crucial.

The whole point of this event was to come away with growth one way or another, we did just that. by @bracebuilt

These guys have been on their GAME.

Seeing it up close and from afar brought a lot of value to this build.

As it closes out, I undoubtedly respect the taper, but I’m not going into full-on defense mode. I’m still on offense, all the way through that damn finish line 🤘🏻⚡️ by @bracebuilt

If there is one thing I have embraced while having another go at sub 3, it is that I need to be reminded more than I need to be taught.

Reminded that I prayed for times like these.

Reminded that I know I can be more but I am enough already.

Edmonton is nearing, and to be honest, it can take its time. The build is what I enjoy most 🤘🏻⚡️ by @bracebuilt

If you don’t hate it a little, you don’t love it enough.

Decided to check in on the performance of my 5km, and there was nothing pretty about it. Average heart rate was 181bpm and peaked at 195bpm down the stretch. Wanted to quit once it started lol.

Love what the return is on the other end though!! The standard of outworking the self doubt held in check and the numbers indicate I am right where I need to be as Edmonton soon approaches.
