SCREEN AND MEDIA: Lipsynch Challenge

The lipsynch challenge is a fast-paced exercise where students are given 90 minutes to film and improv music video for significant portion of a famous song. This exercise offers opportunities to practice lipsynching, as well as phrasing songs into shots. These skills are then built upon in the music videos students subsequently make.

Emma, Mahlia, Ava and Isa self-selected into the ‘we reckon we’re good at lipsynching’ category, and so they were given the hardest song - Macklemore’s ‘Can’t Hold Us’. This was entirely made in 2 hours (and this is just the first 90 seconds, owing to limits in how much of the song we can use). Emma King-Li edits.

MAKEUP & BEAUTY
A collaboration between Year 11 Makeup & Beauty and HSC Screen and Media. Year 11 Makeup students prepared bridal looks on models for an exterior photo shoot, captured in the glorious backlight that spills across Bradfield’s front lawn mid-afternoon.
Thankyou to year 12 Screen and media students Isa and Irene for flexing their shutter skills on the bridal looks. Thankyou also to the models who donated their time to give our makeup students an opportunity to apply their skills.

The Starement of Attainment in Beauty is a course that Bradfield students can study over Year 11 and 12 as part of their HSC. This qualification is delivered by Beauty section of TAFE St Leonards.
