TUFF SOAP: Weakness is Visible This year our HSC Screen and Media cohort completed the unit ‘Develop techniques for presenting to camera’ by creating ads for the vegan, martial arts soap ‘Tuff Soap’. This is one of 25 Tuff Soaps ads made this year by Year 12. Mahlia wrote, performed and edited this satirical piece, which was filmed by the class. Assets from Pexels, Soundsnap and Artlist libraries augment the edit. Thankyou again to @tuff.soap (and Nusrine in particular) for allowing our students to playfully promote the brand in these exercises. Join us for our next Open Day (Tuesday October 20th) if you’d like to find out more about studying filmmaking at Bradfield. #tuffsoap #martialarts #bradfieldseniorcollege #projectbasedlearning #screenandmedia

SCREEN AND MEDIA: Lipsynch Challenge The lipsynch challenge is a fast-paced exercise where students are given 90 minutes to film and improv music video for significant portion of a famous song. This exercise offers opportunities to practice lipsynching, as well as phrasing songs into shots. These skills are then built upon in the music videos students subsequently make. Emma, Mahlia, Ava and Isa self-selected into the ‘we reckon we’re good at lipsynching’ category, and so they were given the hardest song - Macklemore’s ‘Can’t Hold Us’. This was entirely made in 2 hours (and this is just the first 90 seconds, owing to limits in how much of the song we can use). Emma King-Li edits. To see more of our amazing Screen and Media course, join us for the Screen and Media Night on Tuesday September 22nd in the Bradfield Theatre at 6pm. #bradfieldseniorcollege #screenandmedia #macklemore #cantholdus #lipsync
