ФЕСТИВАЛНА РАВНОСМЕТКА
Осмото издание на „Неотъпкана пътека" включи редица известни изпълнители от Америка и Европа. Сопраното Брит Хюит беше един от нашите специални гости. Тя участва в първата седмица на фестивала с концерти в Добринище, Гоце Делчев и Ковачевица.

Поканихме я за световната премиера на „Пет песни по Димитър Пешев" от Дейвид Лудвиг — творба, посветена на спасяването на българските евреи през Втората световна война. Брит представи на сцената и музиката на Джухи Бансал („Любов, загуба и изгнание") и Хана Ишизаки („Aftertime"), обогатявайки програмата с нови гласове в съвременната музика.

Американското сопрано стана част от семейството на „Неотъпкана пътека" тази година — и се надяваме, че това е началото на много творчески сътрудничества с нея.
FESTIVAL RECAP
The eighth edition of Off the Beaten Path featured a number of renowned performers from America and Europe. Soprano Britt Hewitt was one of our special guests. She took part in the festival's first week with concerts in Dobrinishte, Gotse Delchev, and Kovachevitsa.

We invited her to perform the world premiere of David Ludwig's Five Songs After Dimitar Peshev — a work dedicated to the rescue of Bulgaria's Jewish citizens during World War II. Britt also brought to the stage the music of Juhi Bansal (Love, Loss, and Exile) and Hana Ishizaki (Aftertime), adding new voices in contemporary music to the program.

The American soprano became part of the Off the Beaten Path family this year — and we hope this is the beginning of many creative collaborations with her.

There is something extraordinary about looking back for just a moment and realizing how far we’ve already come.

From premiering The Art of Becoming in December 2025 to bringing excerpts to the DUMBO Dance Festival this summer, every rehearsal, every conversation, every risk, and every person who has believed in this work has helped shape what you’re seeing here.

This beautiful footage, captured by the incredibly talented @blizart.mp4 , preserves one of my favorite moments from The Passing of Time—a reminder that movement has the power to hold memory, grief, hope, and joy all at once.

30 seconds of movement.
30 seconds of music.
30 seconds of artists moving together.

But what you’re really watching is months of rehearsals, years of training, countless conversations, moments of vulnerability, trust, laughter, revision, courage, and an unwavering belief that art has the power to transform us.

This excerpt from The Art of Becoming was presented at DUMBO Dance Festival. Next, we’ll share it at Artists in Motion, produced by Alison Cook Beatty Dance Company, before bringing the complete work to the stage on December 12, 2026.

What makes me most proud isn’t simply what we perform.

It’s how we create.

At Fearless Young Artists Studios, we believe extraordinary art grows from extraordinary care.

We believe artists deserve spaces where they are seen, challenged, supported, and loved enough to tell the truth.

Because when artists feel safe enough to be vulnerable, audiences feel safe enough to recognize themselves.

May, exhibited through many excellent signs:

- @bhed.time is now actively slumber partying
- I kissed my apartment goodbye and held a last supper on the fire escape in my empty bedroom
- I bid adieu to my roster spot at @fapcchoir (but will be back to sub occasionally 😉) and received these beautiful flowers
- I collaborated with @andreachristiepiano for a concert at @coffeystreet_studio of music by @dfelsenfeld & @casheldaylewis
- My mother came to help me move into a storage unit and we celebrated with this stunning Ethiopian platter
- My fresh nails, right as my mother asked if we needed fresh nails
- An incredibly timed moment at Caumsett Historic Park

Централното събитие на сезона е нова камерна творба по поръчка на Дейвид Лудвиг @davidludwigmusic — Декан и Председател на катедрата по композиция в консерваторията Джулиард в Ню Йорк. Творбата отдава почит на българския политик Димитър Пешев, известен с ролята си в спасяването на българските евреи по време на Втората световна война. Световната премиера ще се състои на 1 август в Ковачевица, а творбата ще бъде изпълнена и на 29 юли в Добринище.
Изпълнители: Брит Хюит — сопран, Георги Вълчев — цигулка, Анет Артинян — виолончело и Лора Чекоратова — пиано.
„Тази композиция е медитация върху загубата, паметта и устойчивостта — в чест на членове на моето семейство, които са избягали или са загинали по време на Втората световна война. Вярвам, че в настоящия момент е по-важно от всякога да почитаме не само жертвите, но и онези, които са избрали да се изправят срещу омразата. The centerpiece of the season is a new chamber music commission by David Ludwig @davidludwigmusic — Dean and Chair of Composition at The Juilliard School in New York.
