I am so proud of this book. It was really hard to write at times, but I feel like I managed to somehow combine a twisty investigation with Gabe slowly falling apart 🫠

I’ve not been on holiday for so long that I’d forgotten how lovely they are 😍

It was wonderful to spend a few days in a @forestholidays cabin in Yorkshire - so peaceful and exactly what my heart needed 🧡

Lots of time spent in the hot tub, wandering the forest (and accidentally getting lost), playing Ark Nova (new fave game!), reading in the egg chair, and spotting lots of wildlife 😍

It is typically the season for cosy reads but it's also cold and wintery and we're in the depths of it now, so it's the perfect time to also turn to crime! Anna's debut novel, Shot in the Dark, is book one in the Martin and Stern trilogy (so far...) and we hold all three titles in stock, with all of them signed too. Had such a lovely time celebrating Left in the Ashes yesterday 🧡

First I popped into @imaginarium.books (who were celebrating their third birthday!) to sign a load of books 📚

Then in the evening I did a lush Q&A at @thebookshop1933 - such a lovely bunch of people came along (and two gorgeous puppers) 🤓

So mad to have a third book out in the world! Thank you so much to everyone who has hung out with my imaginary friends and enjoyed these stories 🥰 by @brittonbookgeek

What a summer 🧡

We toured the Needles for the first time, Ben met his fave author (Fredrik Backman), we went to The Globe, I spent many sunny afternoons in my hammock, I had a lovely time chatting about my books with other authors (wearing evil shoes), I kayaked around Freshwater Bay (sometimes with chums!), went on lovely walks and met one of my mentees in real life, continued my selfie practice, met a puppy, moved off the island and found new places to walk and kayak, and unpacked all my books into my new writing studio 🥳

(And also did a load of stuff I forgot to take pictures of - mainly hanging out with chums 😂)

Really looking forward to getting back to routine and hanging out with my imaginary friends for many hours each day ☺️ by @brittonbookgeek

What a lovely Easter break 🧡

Lots of time spent with family and friends, plus loads of good food (many cinnamon buns, chocolate orange brownies, star shaped pasta, @craveventnor ice cream, and an omelette I was inordinately proud of 😂), the first time out in my hammock and kayak this year, some great reads, and sunshine filled walks 😍

My absolute highlight was seeing Hamilton at the Mayflower - @billylukenevers and @this.is.chasity were amazing 🤩 by @brittonbookgeek
