What an unbelievable dream of a year. I will never be able to put into words all that 2024 has given me. There is still so much work from the archives that I have on the way and ready to share, but for now, I leave you with this.

From meeting women in the water, to photographing retreats abroad, rallying for girls surf club at home, creating so much fun content for my clients, shooting campaigns and visiting some of my best friends in Hawaii, to ripping my butthole surfing in Nicaragua, exhibiting at the @womenssurffilmfestival in New York, storytelling, visioning, dreaming, all of it—it was the best kind of whirlwind.

Thank you to every single one of you for being here in my space and for making this year so sweet. Ready for even more in 2025 (except for the butthole ripping). 🩵🫶🏻 by @brookerosell

A few more from the archives of work I shot when I was depressed that I didn’t love until I felt better 😅(how’s that for a series name, hahaha)

Popoyo last April with @livinginflowco at @99surflodge 🩷 and these are literally just a brief second from all that I got to share with these women. when Melanie asked me to come storytell this week, I had a huge question mark when it came to the hoop. All I knew is I’ve never been able to do it in my life. But the hoop, even through watching, taught me to go slow, play, and find the flow around me.

my lovely friend @dominique__catrine for @corazonbynina ❤️‍🔥 from this past January.

I’ve shared a lot over on TikTok about my depression journey this winter and how, in January, I didn’t realize how bad I’d been feeling until I didn’t feel bad anymore. For me, that moment was arriving back in Nosara and feeling my entire nervous system exhale for the first time in months.

I’ll always look back on this shoot with so much gratitude. I loved bringing this to life and doing so alongside women I love who make me feel so much like myself. 🫶🏻

Abby and Elliot: I could never pick a favorite if I tried. Once upon a time these two were my Airbnb guests and got engaged which led to us shooting their engagement photos in 20 degrees on the beach which then led us to this perfect June North Carolina day by a lake. 🩵 A&E, you’re so easy to love. It was truly such a joy to tell your story. Thank you. 🫶🏻
