one year ago today, i watched the assassination of charlie kirk

i learned 2 important things that day

life is so precious. we never know when life can suddenly come to an end. live in the moment! appreciate every day the good and the bad! cherish the people you love! laugh loudly! stay up late! tell people that you love them! take risks! make memories! live life like there’s no tomorrow! because our life truly is the greatest gift!!

matthew 5:44 says: “love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.”

we are told to be christlike and love our enemy even when it’s difficult. we should never wish death upon someone simply because we disagree with them. we should never celebrate someone’s death. we should love. we should forgive. we should pray for them.

the world is full of so much hatred. why should we hate others who are different from us?

mark 12:31 says “thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. there is none other commandment greater than these”

one year later, i still think about that day and the impact it had on me.

in the moment no one knew if the shooter was going to open fire into the crowd. that could have been the end for a lot of people. i’m grateful for everyday i’ve gotten to live since then.

the time has finally come for the great roommate divide of 2026

this week was the last time with the best roomates ever!!

last summer i prayed everyday for good roommates and god couldn’t have answered that prayer in a better way! these girls are seriously some of my best friends and i will miss them so so much!

everyone is off to do their next adventure!!
@claire_maelyn leaves this week to dallas to be a missionary!! 🤠
@sydneykj23 heads out next to be a missionary in phoenix!! ☀️
@lily.blatter25 leaves next to serve a mission in chile!! 🇨🇱
@_.lydiab is moving to orem to start school at uvu!! 🎥

im going to miss these girls so so so much but i am so grateful they got to be apart of my life! we all started out 18 fresh out of high school and got to learn how to be adults together!! we learned lots, made LOTS of mistakes, and had a blast! i can’t wait to see what happens in this next chapter of life!!

thanks to claire bear 🧸, kanganoo 🦘, lilykins 🪷, and lydia darling 🫶🏼 for everything!! i’ll love ya forever!

first year of culinary school done!!

every time someone asks “what’s your major?” i get SOOO excited!
i always go on a tangent about my passion and love for cooking!!
this year has serious been thee best ever!! shoutout to chef joseph and chef meg!! they have seriously taught me so so much! and my classmates omg don’t even get me started 🙌🏼 they are seriously my favorite people ever and made class an absolute blast everyday ‼️‼️ i cannot wait to see what the future has in store!!
