🌇 Yesterday was day 3 of MPA Orientation, which took us beyond the classroom.
The Class of 2027 reflected on purpose, profession, and public service before heading into Providence for a bus tour to better understand the city they’ll call home this year. The day also introduced students to the Policy-in-Action Project, where ideas, analysis, and impact come together to address real-world policy challenges.
A day focused on Providence, public leadership, and connecting policy learning to the community around us. 🌇

🤝 Day 2 of MPA Orientation focused on the people, practices, and connections that sustain our community.

Students connected with one another through cohort activities, explored strategies for success, and learned about the many resources available to support them throughout the MPA year. The day closed with a thoughtful conversation on mindfulness, stress, and well-being with Dr. Eric B. Loucks.
A day centered on connection, support, and the practices that help students thrive. 💭

Yesterday, we welcomed the incoming Brown MPA Class of 2027 to Watson and to the Brown community. From meeting program leadership and staff to hearing from alumni, exploring campus, and learning about opportunities across Brown, Day 1 was all about grounding students in the people, places, and values that will shape the year ahead.
