6 years ago today, a certain Global Pandemic thrust me into full time at @ringrosebutchers 🥩
From an apprentice who didn’t really want to be a butcher, to learning to love this trade and the people in it, this journey has been a hell of a ride. 😮‍💨
I’ve done things I would never have dreamt of, and met some of my closest friends and biggest inspirations through Meat. 🫶
I can’t thank those people enough, here’s to many more of these years, and many more of those friends ❤️

This Mental Health Awareness Week, @theburntchefproject are reminding us all that we are supported. That even when the pressures of life are getting a lot, there are systems in place to help us.

For 2 years now, I’ve supported @theburntchefproject in their war on stigma. Because I feel that our industry, butchery, and hospitality as a whole is changing, but desperately needs to.

CONNOR RINGROSE 🌹🇬🇧

Až z Velké Británie za námi do Plzně dorazí i Connor. 😊🔪

Connor je řezník třetí generace z jižního Leicestershiru a letos se vůbec poprvé vydává soutěžit do Česka.

Na Butcher Wars debutoval v Ascotu v roce 2024 a během jediného roku se posunul o neuvěřitelných 17 míst z 19. příčky až na pozici Reserve Grand Champion 2025. Zkušenosti má také z World Butchers’ Challenge a ve stejném roce zvítězil na German Butcher Wars.

Letos sbírá soutěžní zkušenosti napříč světem v Německu, Irsku, Austrálii i Velké Británii. Do Plzně přijíždí s chutí přijmout další výzvu a přinést k soutěžnímu stolu něco nového. 🔪🔥

Connore, děkujeme, že míříš za námi do Česka. 🇨🇿 Vidíme se brzy! 👋😊

CONNOR RINGROSE🌹 🇬🇧

A butcher from Great Britain is joining us in Pilsen Connor. 🔪

Connor is a third-generation butcher from South Leicestershire, and this year he’s travelling to the Czech Republic to compete for the very first time.

He made his Butcher Wars debut at Smoke & Fire in Ascot in 2024 and climbed an incredible 17 places in just one year from 19th place to Reserve Grand Champion in 2025. He has also competed at the World Butchers’ Challenge and went on to win German Butcher Wars in the same year.

This year has taken him to competitions around the world, including Germany, Ireland, Australia and the UK. Now he’s bringing that experience and his appetite for another challenge to Pilsen, ready to bring something new to the Czech Butcher Wars table. 🔪🔥

Connor, thanks for making the trip to the Czech Republic. 🇨🇿 See you soon! 😊

@platedbypavlovaandcream have just announced their next #Plated event at @rest_ember. Last time they were there, I was lucky enough to go down and meet some fantastic people. 🙌

Near the end of the day, Majella throws me in the kitchen, and tells me to cook something 😳

When there’s only a 1.5kg M9 Wagyu T-Bone from @steakkinguk left, you know we had to throw shapes 😏With just a box of ingredients, some amazing garnish from @koppertcressuk, & some beautiful plates from @bespoke77ltd, knocked up this ⬆️

@mabon.wales was a vibe 🔥❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Carrying a whole fallow deer through @caldicotcastle followed by the @leviathanpits boys and @samandshaunaofficial was not on my 2026 bingo card. But a proper pinch me moment 🫶

Sharing the stage with the legendary @bignathsbbq and @welshhomesteadsmokery was an amazing 🤯 Teaching about butchery, sustainability, and how to get the most out of these amazing animals. 🔪

Then spent the Sunday on the pits with @smokey.rebel & @gameandflames cooking some of the best scran I’ve ever had at a festival 😮‍💨

It’s official, we’re going to Vegas!! 🇺🇸🦅

We are very proud to announce the team representing England at the 2027 World Butcher Wars hosted by non other than the @bbqworldcup! 🔥

Planning has already begun for what is shaping up to be one of the most epic butchery competitions the world has ever seen!!

The only question we currently have is, who else will be at Caesar’s Palace in April? 🎰

A very special shout out to @butcherringrose and @bignathsbbq for one of the most impressive demos we’ve seen @mabon.wales. Connor brought a whole deer and a bespoke frame to butcher the whole animal and Nath expertly cooked a selection of cuts for everyone to try. We had such great feedback from this demonstration, that we’ll definitely be doing it again next year.

A few weeks ago we catered the wedding of @mattringrose101 & @handmade_by_hettie ❤️🔥

We had such a good time and it was genuinely lovely to be a part of their special day 🫶

We started with canapés:
💨 Smoked Beef Rib Focaccia with @johnnys.uk Chipotle & Black Pepper Mustard
🍗 Chicken Nuggets with Aioli
🍁 Maple Glazed Pigs in Blankets
🧀 Cheddar & Caramelised Onion Focaccia
🍄 Greek Style Mushrooms

The main service consisted of Roast Pork Cobs & Rare Sirloin Cobs 🐖🥩🤩

And 3 mega cheeseboards in the style of this one ⬆️ to keep people going well into the evening! 🕺

As always, we got 0 photos during service 😂 and didn’t get time to change after the stunning ceremony 😍 but had an amazing time.

The family all piled in to help out and it was great to work with @callum_ringrose & @ciaran_ringy couldn’t do it without you boys 🫶

All made into a beautiful broth using the Salmon carcass, everything grilled over the Kadai then added to a pot to simmer and put over rice 🍚 🔥
