we believe in female rage, cvnty outfits and social change over here by @bysarahnoack

//ad // I created a study/ book club for us all to get MATRIARCHALLY LITERATE!!

If we want to understand the world we’re living in (and actually change it) we need to unlearn a lot of patriarchal mythology about power, family, and “progress.”

That’s why I created a space to explore matriarchal societies, women-centered systems, and feminist anthropology without academic gatekeeping or girlboss bs.

Here’s how it works:

1. The Matriarchal Study Club (paid community 25€/ month)
Each month, we explore one central theme through books, films, and research on matriarchy, matrifocal societies, and women’s history. We read and discuss together, and I guide the conversations with context, lectures, and discussion prompts. The first class will be watching my very own documentary that I produced together with my amazing filmmaker @andreasoriaar at the matriarchal festival last May.

Join women from around the world who are done waiting for change and are organizing it themselves!!

what‘s next? 🐭 for the rest of the year, I’ll be producing the first season of my geo-docu series, focusing on interviewing mothers who live in matriarchal societies around the world. I’ve already chosen the tribes I want to visit, and honestly, I cannot wait to document their knowledge and share it with the world!

I know I’m signing up for a massive challenge! conducting interviews, filming, editing, and organizing travel, all with a toddler by my side 24/7, so I truly appreciate anyone who can contribute to the fundraiser I’m running to support this project. <3

I’m truly so grateful to everyone who’s been following my journey, whether you’ve sent encouraging messages, shared my posts or even joined one of my group trips! I hope you’re just as excited (and clueless) as I am to see what the next 1000 days will bring <33 by @bysarahnoack

cooked up a new essay, devour while it’s hot!! and comment ESSAY if you want me to send it straight to your inbox, it’s free to read for everyone 🧡 by @bysarahnoack

We’ll be discussing ‚Matriarchal Societies: Studies on Indigenous Cultures Across the Globe‘ by Dr. Heide Göttner-Abendroth, and hearing directly from Layli of the matrilineal Bribri people about her lived experience.

and amidst collapse there’s a whole lotta love by @bysarahnoack

I’m so glad this case is finally forcing mainstream discourse to confront how crucial postpartum care actually is, but I wish it will also lead to more conversations on why on earth we‘re still idealizing a family model that routinely leaves women at their most physically, emotionally, and economically vulnerable with the absolute least amount of collective support.
