I see how much my wife does. I’m still learning how much she carries.

It’s easy for our kids to explain what
“Dad does for work”

It’s harder to put into words all the work Mom does because so much of it happens quietly, woven into their everyday lives.

Even when she sits down, the list keeps going. Tomorrow’s lessons. An appointment to schedule. Classes to attend. Wondering if each kid got enough of her today.

That’s what these pieces represent… the things that don’t always get noticed, but take up so much room in the mind.

I want our kids to grow up seeing it. And I want to keep getting better at noticing/acknowledging it.

Sometimes the biggest impacts in our day to day lives get overlooked.

Before every match, we go through the same ritual.

I ask the same four questions: Who’s the champion? Who’s the strongest? Who’s the fastest? Who has the biggest heart?

The answers never change.

Then I remind them of something I hope they carry long after jiu-jitsu is over:

No one can beat someone who truly believes in themselves.

There will always be someone bigger, stronger, faster, or more experienced, but confidence is a choice that no opponent can take away.

Finally, I leave them with one last thought:

Dictate The Pace .

Not just in competition, but in life.

Don’t let circumstances decide who you become. Don’t spend your life reacting to fear, pressure, or other people’s expectations.
Step forward with purpose, trust yourself, and make the world adjust to you. Because the goal was never just to raise great competitors. It was to raise young men who know who they are before the world has a chance to tell them.
Young men who lead with conviction, stay on the offensive when life gets difficult, and trust the work they’ve put in.

In the end, the greatest advantage they’ll ever have won’t be talent, strength, or speed.

It will be the confidence to become exactly who they were created to be.

FAMILY BUSINESS

Beyond proud of everyone!

Adam absolutely killed it and displayed some of his best jiu jitsu against tough opponents. Avenging himself from his struggles in AZ.

Jett said he wanted to take a break from competing but last second he wanted to join us and picked up right where he left off

I lost to a purple belt in the finals 7-7 last score but more importantly showed my kids it’s OKAY to lose. Sometimes you need to lose 100 times to have that one monumental win that changes your whole life. Not just in jiu jitsu, but everywhere throughout life.

The biggest shoutout to my wife and Ryder who stood around for 10 hours today cheering us on!

What a week! What an experience. I love my family.
