POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The UFC used to win by making the best fight the best.

Now it’s owned by TKO Group Holdings and the money is guaranteed.

That’s why you’re not seeing Jon Jones or Conor McGregor on the White House card.

Am I wrong? You know fans see this too?

Hot take after UFC 326 🎙️🔥

The BMF belt was a footnote in its own title fight.

Charles Oliveira vs Max Holloway wasn’t really about that belt.

It was two legendary former champions.
Ranked #3 and #4 in the world.
Fighting to get back on top of the mountain.

The BMF belt felt like a marketing prop.

The real stakes were much bigger.

And “Do Bronx” may have just punched his ticket to a red panty night with Conor McGregor at International Fight Week.

That payday.
That ranking jump.
That path back to the title.

All meant more than the BMF belt.

Am I wrong?

25 years later, I still think about this every single September.

The day before 9/11, I found out I was going to be a father for the first time.

Twenty-four hours later, the world changed.

I was hosting four hours of sports radio a day in Phoenix.

That week, none of it was about sports anymore. We opened the phones and people just… talked. Grieved. Cried. Tried to make sense of something none of us understood.

I learned something that week I’ve never forgotten: sometimes the microphone isn’t there for sports.
Sometimes it’s there to serve people.

Today I’m thinking about my own kids, about that week, about all of you who’ve been with me on this journey.

Never forget. United we stand. 🇺🇸
