POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Want more? Watch the 3-minute teaser and learn more about Swamp Dykes at the link in my bio, AND if you’re in Portland, you can catch the teaser on the big screen as part of @wifpdx ‘s Educate/Incubate showcase on 9/14 at @mcmenamins Kennedy School (for free)!!!!

The teaser is just that… a tease. We’re seeking additional funding to get the hour-long film across the finish line by the end of the year. You can support the production at the link in my bio, and share it with your woke (rich) family members <333

Thats a wrap, for now. (😉)

Over a year of getting to know Alx, and an immense honor to be welcomed to document the process behind his Nez Perce naming ceremony.

Huge thanks to @crows_shadow for opening their doors to our production, @nwdoc @zp.productions and @desertislandstudiospdx for supplementing gear across production trips, @sarahperezmedia for saying yes to an idea before it had legs, and @jessiesears for helping our crew navigate sacred territory.

It takes a village, and this is just the beginning. Thank you to @regionalarts for believing in Alx’s story and supporting production costs.

Saying goodbye to my apartment of four years. The first and only place I’ve lived in Portland, up until now.

“Mango says goodbye sometimes. She does not hold me with both arms. She sets me free.”

Making these pictures, with friends, among the clutter, felt like the perfect way to say goodbye to a place that fostered so much creative freedom while I found my footing out west.

Beautiful, amazing, film pics by @amy.blue.sky @film.by.amy !!!! Seriously!!! So good!!!!

Last week we premiered a new teaser for my upcoming feature documentary ‘Swamp Dykes’, and in the process I learned that I talk with my hands a lot.

Much love and many thanks to all of the films participants, collaborators, and folks with their butts in seats!!! Showing up is literally the coolest and sexiest thing you can do. I see you and I love you.

More soon 😘

Most thanks to @_katherinegunning for putting on a killer (not so little) Lil Gay Screening!!! And to @nwdoc and @uosojc for supporting. by @caitlin.crowley
