More mushiness on the gift it has been to play with this ensemble (and my literal loves/fam) to come, but for now…get here for haven’t yet! This play is so full of joy and laughter and reunion and heart and sooo many feels. And how magical is it that we get to share and create all this with our fellow Angelenos in the audience? So so so thankful and blessed for another summer in the park

Sharing production stills from @indieshakes “Coriolanus” Directed by @ohmelville in honor of its closing and our return to performances tonight 🦋⚔️🩸

This is one of my absolute, all time favorite plays and I find it challenges and inspires me whenever I return to it. It was such a gift to be in a production of this rarely produced work and to bring Valeria, Senator Chuchi (😉), and some fierce (not flusty) plebeians to life. From playing with this tight, talented ensemble to nerding out about its themes and Shakespeare’s language with our audience during intermission — I couldn’t have asked for more.

This play is *always* relevant and it will remain so until we no longer have to “riot” and demand basic needs and respect of those in positions of privilege and power. Until we demand an end to the horrors of war and colonialism / until we understand we can’t look to representatives without also looking amongst ourselves / until we respect body autonomy / until we trust women and femmes(!)…remember…”THE PEOPLE ARE RIOTING!” ✊🏽

After tech week we are back TONIGHT with “The Comedy of Errors” which runs Weds-Sun at 7pm through Labor Day weekend! You have many opportunities to see us and it’s FREE; no excuses fam.

Y’all 🥹 Swipe for a little trip down memory lane with some stills I’ve never posted in honor of my TEN for TEN @indieshakes donation ask! “Coriolanus” begins performances in less than a week on JUNE 24TH, which means you have one week left to donate to my fundraiser (link in bio)!

I have been inviting folks to give at least **TEN for TEN** Why? This summer is a special one in that “Coriolanus” marks my *tenth production(!)* as part of the summer Festival ensemble. We close “Room By The Sea” TONIGHT at 8pm after an incredible run and extension!

This has been the most magical/whirlwind/privilege/joyride of a production and if you’ve been in space with me at all over the past few months, you know how special and healing this one has been. I am so thankful to everyone who has come out to support us! 🥹

What a gift to share @juanmigueljuanson’s powerful poetry and this world with our community, while also creating a space that is truly accessible for all artists and theatre goers alike. More feels and sappy sap to come when I have a moment to breathe, but right now I just feel so blessed to have one more night to bring GIRL to life and play with this ensemble 🌊🩵🪽
