said goodbye to my best friend yesterday. the realest of the real. my ride or die. everyone who knew him loved him. you were smarter, tougher, and flufflier than i could have ever imagined. 14 years of unconditional love. you went through college twice, witnessed all of us growing up, and we witnessed you. the forever dog. I can't believe I exist on an earth without you on it. I'll miss you endlessly and think of you every single day. I love you, lil T.

I've written many poems, but this one has always been the most special. I'm sad today's the day I'll finally share it:

my little shadow
how have you been?
its been so long since you've come around

its been nice having you
you've changed so much
though not as much as the others
and you have that i suppose

remember when we were the same size
when we had the same eyes?
we used to sleep in the same bed
and when u got scared, you'd even come under the covers with me

and if i got scared
well, i always had you

yeah, its been hard seeing you again
im not sure if harder than without you
its been sweet
bittersweet at least

see, you just remind me so much of before
and yet
youre so different too
and i guess those changes
your grey hairs and your grey eyes
they worry me

pls dont be scared tho!
you still have your smile
still crooked as always
i just dont want u to leave

ive never told this before
but you know
youre all i have left
all thats left of my childhood dreams and wonders

i think you love me
because you love her
and maybe u think were still the same
but were not

and i was so excited to see you again

and just like that the fifth and final Verzosa graduation has commenced! (for high school at least)

Congratulations to my baby brother who continues to inspire and humble me every day. You have grown from being the baby of the family who always dressed as Santa and have out the presents Christmas morning and refused to eat anything except mac and cheese and barbeque ribs to a young man (eek!) who takes care fo everyone around him, sees the best in people, lives completely and honestly authentic, and has a bright bright hope for the future. I used to hate how you took my place as the youngest and had my name but better, but now I love to see how you have grown up and stepped up to be responsible, strong, and most importantly, kind above all else. I remember being a little kid in Sunday school and they asked me who I thought in life was the most "Godly" which is a strange thing to ask a 3rd grader, but I remember saying you, and I d
still think I was right. You carry the innocence and hope of a season 1 Steven Universe, yet the strength, intelligence, and responsibility of Season 5 Steven Universe. I think of myself as someone who can see good in a person or a bad situation, but even in that category, you humble me. I don't know how, but some time along the past 18 years, you've learned a certain patience, kindness, and love that most other adults can't understand.

I am endlessly proud of you and who you've become, and I'm so excited to see where adulthood takes you! (he don't even have instahram yall)

the year of love 🤍 2025 was full of friends and family, change and transition, loss and new beginnings, birthdays, special occasions, and anniversaries, and so so so much love. In 2025. the year really did start in March, and blazed by all the way until last night which was spent celebrating the new year and authentic friendship. So many photos, videos, keepsakes, and memories. So many meals shared, sites seen, and late night conversations had. A year where my friendships took spotlight, my family grew stronger, yet sweeter, and calm fulfilling love kept me supported throughout the whole year. My best friends moved in, I made strides in my professional/academic career, I lost and found love, I cherished my family, both blood and found, I spent hours with so many precious and new furry friends, and I changed, grew, and adapted the entire time. My cup is overflowing. Gratitude leads me and love finds me everywhere I go. My list of blessings is endless, energizing me and motivating me to make this next year even more special. I'm thankful for so many things, my sister, my best friend, my lover, my doggies n kitties, the food on my table, my little world I have built around me. Thank you 2025 for being patient and eye opening and bountiful.
