Oh hi! This post is for transparency! It is October and clearly we did not make our hopeful "end of summer" opening date. Which is not to say progress has halted! Quite the opposite. Space renovations are coming along great, we've had a couple of classes (featuring kittens!) in the main room. But still, there are delays.

It's two of us who are the founders of the CDC. Me (Cass of @salem.cat.aid, and I'm also a PALS volunteer and on the board of directors), and Sandy (also on the PALS board and is the person who manages most of the organization's behind the scenes stuff). We've had so many wonderful volunteers helping out with CDC stuff, but unfortunately for us, we also have jobs. Sandy has a full time 9-5, and I have literally 3 different part time gigs. Sometimes 4.

And there's been so many cat-things that have been the priority. Stray kittens, illnesses, surrenders, and we both have foster cats as well. And for me, October is the busiest work month of my year.

So, CDC progress is really only as much as our schedules allow. Things are great, just moving more slowly than we'd like. And you deserve to know what's going on.❤️ by @catdistributioncenter

RIDDLE ME THIS: How do I still have two foster kittens?! They have been to multiple events with me, even received a bunch of applications.. only for everyone to have changed their mind or choose one of their siblings.😭

Christopher: 1st pic! Most independent, but will randomly leap into your lap to say hello. He has the LOUDEST purr. 3 months old and he purrs like a gigantic adult.

Liam: 2nd pic. Ugh my heart. Don't tell the others, but I love him a little extra. He's brave, ridiculous, independent but also clingy?! He's perfect.

Both boys are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. In a perfect world they'd be adopted together, BUT as long as they go to a home with another friendly cat, I'll be happy (seriously, they will insist on being your cat's play and snuggle buddy if they don't have each other).

Please apply for my sweet perfect babies at http://PALScats.org ❤️

Things have been chaos - spending most of my days at the @catdistributioncenter and prepping for @hauntedhappeningsmarket . But on Sunday I trapped these three young kittens in Peabody. The bad news is, the commercial property owner won't let me go back for the last two or mama. I'll figure it out, I'm DETERMINED.

Actually, mama WAS trapped but I had to make the decision to release her, because after being outdoors for 8 hours I had no luck with the remaining two kittens. And yes, the three trapped are okay! They're old enough to be enjoying wet food.❤️

And THIS amazing event is happening at the @salemcatmuseum! @jasonmarsden is being kind enough to donate a portion of meet and greet sales to the Cat Distribution Center, and we are so grateful!

We'll be there that day with kittens in tow, so not only do you get to meet Jason, but you'll also get to snuggle some cute beans.💖

Snag your tickets in @jasonmarsden's link in bio - this will definitely sell out!

We are very behind on posts because our social media person (hi it's me, Cass!) has had some LIFE STUFF. We have a lot to share with you, but LOOK. MERCH IS FINISHED. And today, Finn supervised the printing of your packing slips, so everything will be on the way to you tomorrow/Wednesday!❤️

(P.S. the pink and teal shirts aren't available, but were custom printed for one of the founder's small humans.) by @catdistributioncenter
