POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
During the art week, we’re delighted to welcome you to the Open Studio of Drama Dehor, fellows of the 10th edition of the Cripta747 Residency Programme.

Come explore their research, a liminal space where their collective practice comes alive through archiving discarded objects, shimmering noises, and puppet-related experiments.

Open Studio becomes a special chance to see the processes, materials, and stories they’ve been developing during these months of residency.

We look forward to seeing you at Via Catania 15F, Torino, during the following times (or by appointment):

• 29 – 30 OCT & 01 NOV: 12:00 – 17:00
extended hour • 31 OCT: 12:00 – 20:00

We are proud to present Caterina Avataneo (b. 1989, Turin) as our Curator in Residence for the Agder Residency 2026/27. Caterina is an independent curator and writer whose practice centres on long-term dialogue with artists, research and exchange. Since 2017, she has worked internationally with institutions including Serpentine Galleries, Cripta747, Artissima, and as a writer for CURA. She was also assistant curator of the Lithuanian Pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale, which received the Golden Lion in 2019. Her research explores darkness, Gothic and eco-Gothic sensibilities, with a particular interest in nature, landscape, non-human agency and transformation.
During her residency, Caterina will get to know the artistic and cultural landscape of Agder through studio visits, conversations, field trips and encounters with artists and institutions. We look forward to introducing her to the region and to seeing what new conversations, connections and ideas emerge from her time here. The residency will culminate in an exhibition curated by Caterina together with GRAC, opening in February 2027. Welcome to Agder, Caterina!<3

Been in the company of ghosts of all kinds over the past 18 days and I have learned that they are not all scary. They belong to that lively intangible world within and around. It’s spooky for sure, but reassuring too - there’s not such a thing as loneliness. Here’s to the webs of life, sorrow, loss and radiating love. Cheers!

Got my backpack stolen in Rome a couple of days ago with my PC in it… it got me thinking that I rarely post about the texts I write, but these are so precious to me. So here we are: a algorithm unfriendly post with lots of text… luckily it’s all online, so you (like me right now) can retrieve everything if this post made you curious. Thanks to all the magazines and platforms that allow me to write, and to all the artists I get inspiration from.

We are happy to announce that Drama Dehor are the fellows of the 10th edition of the Cripta747 Residency Programme.

For 2026, we have chosen to support a collective artistic practice, reaffirming our interest in research forms grounded in dialogue, experimentation, and the intersection of different artistic languages.

Drama Dehor is a friend collective based in Turin, whose work revolves around the archival and resampling of scattered objects, shimmering noises and crumpled words. Their official collaboration began in 2025 with the stop motion animation “don’t stress me, i’m not the sun”. In 2026 they started experimenting with puppetry, giving life to their first show “È il primo di una lunga serie di scherzi del destino”. Their last work “Cappello uccello senza di lui” was presented last June at Cripta747, as part of the event Ultimo Emo.

From September to December 2026, Drama Dehor will be in residence at Cripta747 to develop a new project. In the coming months, we will share updates on their process, moments of public engagement, and events dedicated to the presentation of their research.

Welcome, Drama Dehor ❤️

Come tomorrow at @pirelli_hangarbicocca for a “passeggiata in mostra” with Benni Bosetto and me! We’ll get lost among all the marvellous details that make up her exhibition, Rebecca. Personally, I plan to open every possible door and spy through even the smallest hole until I myself become part of the lively body that this show is, a magical swarming amulet, a story of stories.

Let’s be haunted, folks! We’ll be your Charons.

Thursday, 4 June 2026, 7–8 PM 🕸 🧚🏻‍♀️

Thank you @bennibosetto, Giovanna Amadasi and @fiammetta.griccioli for the invite by @cateavataneo

One month left to descend into the underground GTT car park at Valdo Fusi and discover Mark Leckey’s commission.

What begins as an ordinary descent into infrastructure gradually shifts into a passage, from the apparent ordinariness of the urban environment toward deeper temporal layers, where archaic imaginaries and prophetic fragments begin to emerge. Be aware, some might not make it back!

I initially thought of writing a love letter. Anna herself describes her artworks as fumbling love letters, and I relate
to this idea. It always happens the same with whatever I don’t know, but I like. The pull toward something that
attracts, hesitating at the last moment. It’s the curiosity that I praise so much, combined with this annoying
prudence of mine, which draws me closer while holding me back at the same time. I can’t just touch this
stranger— what if it moves in ways that I can’t predict — will it hurt? This tension runs through Anna’s practice:
a desire for relation that rarely resolves into a point of contact. That’s often why love letters are written in the
first place…

Mark Leckey is coming to townnnnnnnnn * ° ''* ° _-°

At @cripta747 we are launching Catabasis, a newly commissioned site-specific intervention by Mark Leckey conceived for the underground carpark located just next door to our Giolitti space.

Taking its title from the ancient myth of descent into the underworld, the work unfolds as a passage from the apparent ordinariness of the urban environment toward deeper temporal layers, where archaic imaginaries and prophetic visions begin to surface.

The sequence brings together fragments from O Magic Power of Bleakness (2019) — including footage and behind-the-scenes material — alongside a new series of AI-generated images inspired by William Blake’s Nebuchadnezzar (1795).

I still remember visiting Mark’s show at Tate in 2019 and being completely mesmerised — with Blake just next door. It feels very special to bring this constellation of references not only to Torino, but into a space of darkness, experimentation, and collective imagination.

Can’t quite express my excitement, and in fact, I couldn’t resist sharing a preview before the official comms. So... thanks @mark.leckey
