I got to run around the Sierra with my best friend in between alaska trips! Such an incredible dose of sunshine and repreive🫶🩵 3 days with blitz in the Whitney zone and a high quality (dare I say spiritual?) 24 hours in tuolumne spent hacking and sleeping and frolicking with a golden crew 🏆🌟👑⚜️🔑 by @char_ventures

Wheeeee, we just wrapped up an excellent Girls* on Ice expedition. So impressed with how our all-star participant team locked in on sketching, research, mountain living and moving on glaciers together—even when encountering backcountry deluges, screaming catabatic winds and frigid river crossings for their first times! So grateful for the Gulkana glacier’s help spawning mountain magic for Inspiring Girls* Expeditions. Lots of love for our instructor team of upmost distinction:Inga- aye aye to our light rye glaciology guru, crampon whiz and focus of unhinged pingo obsession! Char- hold on. She’s getting a phone call from a rock. Oh, yup, got it. She’s a cackling model of excellence and tarpology greatness making glacier mountaineering cute (and safe) as heck.Stephanie- the strong and fun aunt, keeper of the mosh and knowledge of the land, and brilliant coordinator of sprawling logistics!Rachel- expedition extraordinaire. In her fathomless bag of tricks: snow algae savvy, baking, facilitating reflection, neck massaging, and giggling.Cal- bringer of the banana dance, “sunny disposition,” sketching lessons, tortilla snowflakes, and grotesque Reynauds moments 😈 by @char_ventures

Just spent the last week prepping for the @inspiringgirls_ak 2026 expedition!Scouting trip ~ doneGear ~ packed Ice cream Sunday cookie sandwiches ~ ateFairbanks Farmers market ~ visited Moose ~ observed Wooly Mammoth Skull ~ selfied Participants ~ arrived!! We head to the gulkana glacier with the students tomorrow! I couldn’t be more excited to work with this team and this org🫶 by @char_ventures

Couldnt have asked for a more informative and inspiring inaugural trip on the west buttress guiding with @alpineinstitute 🍧🪏❄️I got to see alaska do its dang thang! Wild weather windows, early season condition, and a ton of incredible terrain. Accompanied by an amazing and hilarious team of team of coguides and clients🩵 I’m leaving the alaska range even more curious and excited than when I arrived. Lucky me I’ll be guiding up there in a Different part of the range, accompanied by glaciologists in a couple weeks with @inspiring_girls_expeditions. ! GAH. I’ll be in the sunny Sierra in a sports bra and booty shorts until then. Call me beep me if u wanna reach me 😝🤭🔥☀️ by @char_ventures

Over the course of 48 hours, @ethancwest @nickredfern_ and I completed a mega Bike and Hack Link Up from Berkeley to the Summit of Mt Diablo and Back (in time for class) all in the name of the: PENTA PEAK PENTA HACK TRAVERSE! 5 hacks on the 5 summits of Mt Diablo😎Dream scheme with a dream team we are so psyched to hack!!!!! Shout out to John from Georges Giant Burgers in Walnut Creek, Chris and Nicola, Ethan for making this video in an afternoon, and all the other friends made along the way. by @char_ventures

Finished my season at Yosemite Mountaineering School today 💜 here’s a collection of many (not all!) folks I have been lucky enough to share a rope with over the last two months after returning from my injury. feeling pretty dang proud of getting back to it like I did and now I’m going to focus on becoming a weekend warrior and, for the first time in years, not guiding full time! Yay making maps yay grad school! by @char_ventures

A whole month back in the sweeet sweet Sierra! Highlights include endless incredible Hacky sack sessions, long days hiking on and off trail, being back at work, wonderful meals with friends, dippys in the rivers and lakes, reading and gettin dirty, campfires and music and water color portraits and lifting weights !
