My nephew rescued this beautiful, sweet girl after she was hit by a car in Valparaíso, Chile. 💔 With his love and care, and a visit to the vet, she made a full recovery! 🐶❤️

Now, she needs a loving forever home where she can feel safe, cherished, and protected. She has already been through so much, and she deserves a chance at a beautiful life—not a return to the lonely streets.

🙏 Please help us spread the word! Share her story, tag someone who might be able to adopt her, or connect us with a rescue organization in Chile.

Portugal, you have my heart. 🇵🇹❤️

What a beautiful journey through Portugal—from Lisbon to the Douro Valley, from the vineyards and rivers to the coast and the table.

It was an honor to co-host this culinary adventure with Portland Food Adventures, Simply Tour Company, and Kopke Wines, sharing the food, traditions, landscapes, and stories that make Portugal so special.

We cooked, tasted, explored, laughed, learned, and—most importantly—shared meals and meaningful moments with an incredible group of travelers.

A very special obrigada to Chris Angelus for inviting me to be part of this incredible trips and to Sandra Tavares, for opening her heart and sharing the beauty, culture, and hospitality of her country with us; and to Chef Vítor and Chef Joanna, for welcoming us into your kitchens and tables and making us feel right at home. ❤️

For me, travel has always been about more than seeing a place. It’s about connecting with people, understanding traditions, and experiencing a culture through food.

What a way to begin our first LMFW Convivio. 🥹🍷

Friday’s Vineyard Dinner at Alumbra Cellars brought Chefs @gary_marmanillo , @chavezmaylin , and @rico_chef503 together for an oyster bar reception and a five-course menu paired with wines from @coriaestates , @alumbra.oregon , @valcancellars , @gonzaleswinecompany , @nueva_aventura_wine , @medina.wines , and @scenicvalleyfarms .

Thank you to the winemakers who joined us and shared the stories behind their wines, and to the chefs who created such beautiful dishes and shared the stories behind them. And to everyone who gathered around the table with us: thank you for making our first evening so special! 🫂

Convivio kicks off on Friday, September 25, with an intimate five-course dinner among the vines at Alumbra Cellars.

The evening will feature a collaborative menu from Chef Ricardo Antunez of Pura Vida Cocina + Xicha Brewing, Chef Maylin Chávez of Nácar Oysters and Chef Gary Marmanillo of Casa Zoraya, thoughtfully paired with Latino wines.

Oaxaca holds a very special place in my heart. As a chef, it represents everything I believe food can be: a connection to our ancestors, our land, our people, and the stories that shape who we are.

Oaxaca reminds me that cooking is not simply about feeding people—it is about preserving culture, honoring tradition, and creating connection around the table. Its ingredients, markets, kitchens, artisans, mezcaleros, farmers, and cooks carry generations of knowledge that continue to inspire me.

I feel deeply connected to the way Oaxacan cuisine celebrates simplicity, seasonality, and the incredible diversity of Mexico. Every mole, tortilla, herb, chile, and sip of mezcal tells a story.

For me, sharing Oaxaca with others is a way of sharing a piece of my heritage and inviting people to experience Mexico beyond the plate. It is a journey of flavor, culture, community, and discovery—and one that continues to inspire me as a chef.

Oaxaca is not just a place I love. It is a place that reminds me why I cook.

There are few things I enjoy more than spending time with the people who dedicate their lives to growing exceptional oysters.

A heartfelt thank you to Judith Vajk for welcoming me to Caledonian Oyster Farm in Scotland. Walking the farm, hearing its story, and learning about the care and stewardship behind every oyster was a true privilege.

Every farm has its own sense of place, and every oyster carries the flavor of its waters, its tides, and the people who nurture it. These are the stories that continue to inspire me as a chef and storyteller, connecting coastal communities across the world—one oyster at a time.
