Earlier this month, West Side Campaign Against Hunger joined partners from The Roundtable in Albany for the @alliancehungerfreeny New York State Food Summit.

The gathering brought together advocates from across the state to share ideas on policy, innovation, and collaboration in the fight against hunger. Our CEO, Greg Silverman, had the opportunity to moderate a closing panel on how greater coordination can strengthen the emergency food sector, alongside WSCAH board member @marializardo702, Roundtable member and @tcahnyc Founder Dr. Melony Samuels, and @alliancehungerfreeny ED @natashapernicka. We also appreciated the thoughtful conversations led by partners, including insights on culturally responsive food access.

Our fifth annual block party, WSCAH ROCKS THE BLOCK, had us dancing in the streets! Together, we packed over 2,300 bags of groceries for our customers and made hundreds of advocacy postcards and paper plates to mail to our legislators. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, volunteered, donated, and supported.
