TAKE UP SPACE. 🏔

A space to show up as you are.
A space to grow beyond what you thought possible.
A space where no one gets left behind.

For the women of Chingonas on the Run, trail running is about more than the miles. It’s about finding your people, discovering your strength, and knowing you belong.

Run scared. Run brave. Run as you are.
Your space. Your trail.

Proud to share this story with @chingonasontherun . Special thanks to @orlando_.b for filming and photography, @adventurela for the initial edit, and @decerrysphotography for the photos featured in the video.

Hi Chingona! 👋 Welcome to the official IG for #chingonasontherun.

We are excited to use this space to share our community events, runs, and the stories of the Chingonas who are a part of this community. 💜

As two Latina ultra trail runners in Southern California, we want to build a community of under-representative individuals (BIPOC and Women) in the sport.

Chingonas come in many forms — cis, trans, nonbinary — if you carry the spirit of a mujer and the courage to show up, you belong here. We honor the strength of our roots, the rhythm of our strides, and the sacred bond of women reclaiming space on the trail. No Chingona get's left behind.

Here’s a little more info about us:

Melissa, @la.direccion, is the owner and UESCA-certified ultra coach of La Dirección; through coaching, she guides, equips, and teaches future cabronas to discover their potential and own it.🐮🔔

Daisy, @elementsofdaisy, is an endurance coach of @wellnessonthetrails and podcast host of the @sherunstrailspod on a mission to get as many women outside their comfort zone on the trails.🙌

RUN CLUB Roll Call | Chingonas on the Run | San Dimas, CA

Some run clubs are built around pace. Chingonas on the Run (@chingonasontherun) is built around showing up for each other.

In this week’s Run Club Roll Call, hear from co-founder Mel (@la.direccion) why this community means so much to its members and how it has become a place where women encourage one another, celebrate every finish, and prove that there’s room for everyone on the run.

Know someone looking for a supportive crew to run with? This might be the sign they’ve been waiting for.

This past weekend we hosted Chingona Fest 2026 and we are still processing it all.💜

Year two was bigger than we ever imagined. Chingonas showed up from Seattle, Chicago, Sacramento, San Diego, Fresno, Ventura, LA, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Orange County. You came from everywhere! 🥹

To every Chingona who took up space this weekend, whether it was your first time on the trails, a new distance PR, or just being in community and enjoying the vibes, we see you. This is your space too. No matter your pace, how you look, where you’re from, or your age. 🌄

Chingona Fest was born from a simple belief: women deserve a space to be wild, courageous, and supported in betting on themselves. 🏃🏽‍♀️✨

Always believe in yourself, dream big, and never forget you have your Chingona amigas in your corner cheering you on. 🥳

Thank you Chingonas for being part of such a magical weekend!🪄

Con Cariño,

Your Co-Founders,
Mel & Daisy

Chingona Fest 2026 ✨

There is something deeply restorative about disconnecting, heading into nature, and pushing your limits alongside a community of fierce, supportive women. Chingona fest was full of everything that feeds my soul: trail miles, crackling campfires, nourishing food, and pure love. Celebrating my birthday on the dirt with my chingonas was the greatest gift. 🌲🏃🏽‍♀️🪵 by @chingonasontherun
