Every year my birthday rolls around the corner and I’m surprised I’m still here.
This year though, it was different.

I learned how to: travel alone (with friends and family to constantly fall back upon) wear contact lenses, play TT, win at TT, eat something every 3 hours.

Decided that work doesn’t always have to meet or mean the traditional sensibilities of ‘work’.

Took my skin out on vacation because she deserved it and so much more love: literally how I healed my acne! 🌸

Everything changed from last year. Every thing.

My fear and confusion of growing older has been solved: it’s true, it’s happening and I don’t mind it AT ALL

Ambika Mod performed a one woman show about growing up, adulting, mental health, community, love, grief and family.
I bawled like a baby but tbf so did everyone around me.

I met strangers and felt kinship I didn’t know I was capable of in my cold cold heart but turns out my heart is the sun and it never stopped burning it just burned too intensely until the right people show up and show you how to love you. by @chughhchughhtrain

You may not have met one but they definitely exist!! Aaaaand they’re much better at understanding how systemically challenging disability is instead of making you feel worse for not trying enough. #I’mmakingalist of MPH’s that live with and understand how to treat disability and offer the right care.
This list will not be exhaustive and hopefully ongoing but vetted so that you’re in the right hands hands 🤲🏻
