All Tomorrow’s Poets is just around the corner and we are very excited to introduce you to this year’s incredible lineup over the coming days.

Miriana McGechie (Ngati Kahungunu, Ngati Rakaipaaka, Ngati Rongomaiwahine, Ngati Porou) is a multidisciplinary artist, a maker of things using tools and mediums such as the body and voice, harakeke, cameras, words, and emotion (to name a few). With a love and desire to evoke and provoke, her mahi across the board often centers an unearthing of sorts, a self titled ‘happy delayering’.

Come and enjoy a glass of wine and hear Miriana perform upstairs at Time Out Bookstore on @nzpoetryday Friday 22nd August. taken in Time Out Bookstore by @chur2that

- met with a grief I haven’t sat with for years and
we talked a long while.
we still talk.
we compromised, and i flew to australia for a bit.
my brothers made me laugh.
i changed.

and that’s all I have to say about it :)

(mullumbimby, sam making me laugh in nimbin, the boys in byron bay, mullum pub, bus stop to nowhere, post swim pre flight on the m1)
