On Thursday, Gavin Williams of the @cleguardians threw what’s known as an immaculate inning. This is a rare feat in baseball in which a pitcher strikes out all 3 batters he faces in a single inning using exactly 9 pitches.Williams became the 5th pitcher in franchise history to achieve this accomplishment, joining:⚾️ Enyel De Los Santos in 2022⚾️ Zach Plesac in 2020⚾️ Carlos Carrasco in 2017⚾️ Justin Masterson in 2014Williams on Thursday ended up striking out 11 @twins batters over 7 innings, but that still wasn’t enough for Cleveland, who lost the game to Minnesota, 3-1, innings 12 innings. He did, however, assume the American League lead in strikeouts, 156, with his stellar effort.Thursday also marked Williams’ 10th career double-digit strikeout start, 6 of which have come this season, according to Tim Stebbins of MLB.com. On this day in 1999, starting pitcher Charles Nagy of the @cleguardians finds himself not only on the rubber but in the batter’s box due to a lineup card snafuNagy, who batted 7th for the Indians that day, became the 1st Cleveland pitcher to bat in American League home game since 1978.Here’s how it went down:⚾️ A lineup card mixup by Cleveland manager Mike Hargrove listed Manny Ramírez as the designated hitter and Alex Ramírez as the right fielder.⚾️ But Manny, not Alex, took the field in the 1st inning instead, which caused Cleveland to lose the designated hitter and, in turn, forced the pitcher, Nagy, into the batting order: Because Manny played defense, the umpire ruled that Alex was removed from the game before it started, forcing the team to forfeit the designated hitter position.⚾️ Nagy struck out in the 2nd inning and popped up a foul bunt in the 4th inning, finishing 0-for-2 at the plate.⚾️ Cleveland lost the game, 4-3, to the @bluejays. by @clevelandbobbleheads

The last time that occurred? Back-to-back weekends of Jose Ramirez stadium giveaway bobbleheads helps to make up for his injury absence thus far this summer:⚾️ This past Saturday, July 18, the @mvscrappers gave out a bobblehead bobblecard of Ramirez to the first 1,000 fans in attendance. Ramirez played with Mahoning Valley, when it was still connected with the big-league club, as a Class-A short-season affiliate, in 2012.⚾️ This coming Saturday, July 25, the @akronrubberducks will give out a bobblehead — in an Akron Aeros jersey — to the first 1,000 fans in attendance. Before the 2014 rebrand to the RubberDucks, Akron went by the Aeros. Ramirez played with Akron, Cleveland’s Double-A minor league team, in 2013. by @clevelandbobbleheads

A pair of @cleguardians rookies etched their names in @cleguardians franchise lore when, on Tuesday, became only the 4th and 5th rookies to appear in an All-Star Game representing the team.The first 3: Herb Score in 1955, Dick Stigman in 1960 and Sandy Alomar Jr. in 1990. Cleveland is also just the 5th team to send multiple rookies to an All-Star Game, following the 1951 @whitesox, the 1960 @orioles, the 2008 @cubs and the 2014 @yankees. by @clevelandbobbleheads

During the period from June 23 to July 4, encompassing 11 games, Junior Caminero of @raysbaseball mashed 11 home runs, which put him with some powerful and elite company. Caminero tied, among other players, Albert Belle for the most home runs within 11 consecutive games. Earlier today, the @cavs and franchise cornerstone player Donovan Mitchell came to terms on a 4-year, $273 million contract extension. Known as a maximum contract extension, it ensure the guard remains under Cleveland’s control through the 2029-30 season with a player option, possibly spanning one additional year, through 2030-31.The upcmong season, $50.1 million, previously factored into his old deal.His pay structure breaks down like this:🏀 2026-27: $50.1 million🏀 2027-28: $60.9 million🏀 2028-29: $65.8 million🏀 2029-30: $70.6 million🏀 2030-31: $75.5 million (player option)“I love it here. I don’t know how else to say it. I have no doubt these guys can get there. All season, the @lccaptains have honored the @cleguardians 2016 team as their parent club made the World Series 10 years ago.This would include immortalizing vital players and key moments that led to the Indians winning the pennant a decade ago.Not too long ago, the Captains gave out a bobblehead of Tyler Naquin. Even though he did play outfield for Cleveland on that team and in years following, Naquin — in a comeback bid as a pitcher — returned to Lake County in 2025, which could have brought on this very promotion.The box art (last photo) does a great job recapping his best MLB moment occurring on Aug. 19, 2026, one of the more memorable victories of that season for the Tribe in which Naquin hit a walk-off, inside-the-park 2-run home run, which # allowed Cleveland to beat the @bluejays 3-2 in front of a raucous, packed Progressive Field. by @clevelandbobbleheads

🌭 🟢 🟡 🔴 New arrival 🔴 🟡 🟢 🌭 Earlier this month, the @clbclippers made available bobbling figurines of their 3 racing hot dog mascots — Rickey Relish, Mickey Mustard and Kelly Ketchup — that run around the home stadium, Huntington Park, amid the 6th inning.It’s similar to what their parent MLB club, the @cleguardians, do in the 5th inning of home games, Progressive Field, with their own racing hot dog condiment mascots: Ketchup, Mustard, Onion and Spicy Mustard.The Clippers’ online store made these stadium giveaway-quality bobbling figurines, created by @success_brands, available, and I grabbed all 3. The boxes are also cool, displaying each racing dog’s stats as conveyed by hot dog illustrations.
