Man what a weekend! Words can’t describe how lucky and grateful I feel to be on this path. Saturday night we won the 147lb. Ascend World Series US Title Belt. Me and my opponent won fight of the night, the event was so well run and I will definitely be back to Ascend.

I have had so many people help me get here and be able to do what I love. I want to thank my opponent Jose for accepting and showing up for a war, he motivated me every day in camp to train hard and pushed me to become the best fighter I can be in the ring. I have so much respect for him and his team and his coaches.

From my family to teammates and coaches who gave me rides, helped with Nala, and poured into my cup this camp with positive energy. I literally would not be able to do what I do without yall. All of my teammates and coaches at the gym you guys gave hundreds of rounds of pads and sparring and helped game plan for this fight I couldn’t do it at this level without them. Thankyou. This belt is ours.

Also these incredible photos is work of my incredibly talented mother @melissa_gordon_photographer Thankyou so much I love you ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

No injury and ready to get back in the gym to go for the next one. 🙏👊❤️‍🔥

🏆 NEW EPISODE OUT NOW 🏆

Episode 15 of Lessons From The Mat is live featuring 2x WAKO K-1 Gold Medalist and US Muay Thai Champion, Cody Day.

In this conversation, Cody shares the lessons he's learned through victory, defeat, injuries, coaching, and years of dedication to martial arts. We dive into the mindset of a champion, the importance of community, and why trusting the process matters more than any title or belt.

Some of my favorite takeaways:

🥊 "Losing teaches more than winning ever could."
🧠 The mental preparation behind competing at a high level.
🤝 Why community and support are essential for growth.
⚔️ The role of ego in fighting and life.
📈 Why trusting the process is the greatest lesson the mat can teach.

Whether you're a fighter, coach, athlete, or simply chasing a goal, there's something in this episode for you.

In just over five weeks a pack of dawgs are being released in Columbia SC. We can’t wait to show all the hard work we put in, and put on a show for the Columbia crowd. This fight I have a very experienced and dangerous opponent, whose team I have a lot of respect for- looking forward to sharing the cage with them once again. Full Muay Thai rules but in 4oz. MMA gloves 👹 The fights will be live streamed, though I recommend you make the short drive to watch live- you don’t want to miss this stacked card. If buying tickets online put my name down at checkout, the link is in my bio. See yall soon 👊💎 taken in Columbia, South Carolina by @codyday7
