What happened to your ears, Sweet Boy? 🐴🦄🐴

I’m sharing this because I could not get this sweet horse out of my head because he would greet me at the trailhead every time I went out and I felt very drawn to him.

There’s a longer version of this story, but I wanted to know his name.

I felt a connection and I was so curious about his ears, knowing very likely what it was that has them split, but I wanted to know more about his story.

I asked him and you can see in the video how he responded.

I have volunteered since I was a child with organizations that rescue horses from traumatic situations and I don’t ride much anymore. I only feel compelled told hold space for these majestic beings and care for them with love.

Horses blessed my life in its entirety and I don’t know if I would be who I am today without them.

My mom continues to tell me more and more about my Baba and her connection to a horse that would follow her around in the old country named Star. ⭐️

There is a lot of silence in this video and there’s so much more that my dear friend witnessed in these little meetings with this sweet, dear boy. I spend a lot of time, simply sitting with the horses I work with, feeling.

He’s so special.

On my way home from work last week, I made a split second decision to drive up to where he was and learned more about him not knowing if that was even possible.

I drove out to the middle of the flood zone and of course it started to rain and was getting dark. I had many thoughts racing through my head, whether I should be there or not or even if he was there at all and sure enough I pulled up and he wasn’t there, but I noticed that the gate was open when I drove past the main entrance to the farm…

Sometimes moments of clarity come in the blink of an eye and it’s important that we take those chances if they have some kind of meaning and our intuition kicks in and you just end up on auto pilot.

I could not be more grateful for what happened next… and I will share it as my little story unfolds.

Hello. Welcome, I am Dani.

Short for Danielle. Danijela in Serbian.

I have two dear children.

One who walks and one that soars.

I am about to reach more than 50 trips around the sun and each day, the sun rises. I look forward to what the next 50 will look like.

I have been a licensed esthetician for over 20 years , focusing on massage and supportive bodywork to bring out the beautiful energy we all possess.

The energy that often shows up on our face from day to day.

I also integrate yoga therapy which has been a significant part of my life as a foundation for supporting my personal health and wellbeing, as a practitioner and educator.

My dad was a meditation and yoga practitioner in the 60s and still connects with meditation in his 80s.

I believe the more we connect with ourselves, the deeper our awareness becomes, and the more we attract the reflection of the beautiful connections to ourselves that we realize.

Reciprocation. Mirrors.

Our inside mirrors our outside 🧡

I love engaging conversations and passionate, compassionate and vulnerable human exchange.

Touch is so important too.

I am a hugger 🤗

Alignment seems to bring these conversations (and hugs)frequently into my life and I cherish them and those I get to have them with.

These exchanges don’t necessarily have words.

It is often all of the senses connecting and illuminating the sensations within that show up on the surface.

Visceral experiences.

Even over the phone.

Joy is much more beautiful over the phone, but even better in person.

I truly believe angels are sent to you often.

I seem to get them in the forms of animals.

Filled with gratitude for the joy in animal human connection that absolutely teaches me the power of love in its purest form. Without complication as often humans create in the path to understanding the simplicity of being.

Everything is about exchanging energy, even in solitude…if we make it there…

When I graduated from university, I didn’t think about how I was going to use my degree to get a job… at the time my limited and very young and inexperienced mind felt that my degree would be useless, but conformity was overpowering and group mentality (ironically I have a degree in sociology) dictated the perceived direction of my life.

I loved experiences. I loved learning. I loved exploring, adventuring. I loved animals more than people because people were just too much external noise. The opposite of simplicity, the opposite of my daydreams.

I have been blessed with two children, one in spirit that lives with me in my heart every day. Have a duty, a purpose to self realize the integration of the energy of love. I have one in body to show me that I am living being of that example and when I stray from that path, I am also taught the value of coming back to myself and observing truth and integrity.

I cannot be unaware.

The animals keep me honest.

And therefore wisdom keeps all of my fantasies of transcending the ‘swamps of sadness’ on horseback, facing the ever-present Gmork, and transforming the ‘Nothing’…

I’m not sure how long this caption will be up because I’m going to elaborate with the story I’ve written that is much longer than a caption will allow me.

I love books. I love learning and I will learn until my last breath.

One of my worst fears is to become ‘functionally illiterate’ 😱 (James Mattis)

I will keep sharing it as well. That’s a given. I can’t help myself. I am abundant in curiosity.

I love to teach. I have always been some kind of an educator my whole life. I thought that’s what I wanted to be for a long time and when I achieved the position of teaching at at the local community college, that was the end of that.

I took a very unconventional route, made it happen, and it was short-lived, but fulfilling for the purpose it served, to teach me what I truly craved…

I love to hold books and to read them out loud and anytime I’ve ever taught. I always reinforce the information to myself by holding the book in my hand and reading it out loud to hear it again as I watched the words on the page.

There’s a certain realization that comes that opens everything up to you.

I was listening to “Wisdom Takes Work” by Ryan Holiday today and I swear everything is in perfect alignment as I listened to him towards the beginning talk about talking to the dead… reading books filled with the wisdom of those who left the information they learned in collections over time.

I was reading “Light on Pranayama” here, by BKS Iyengar and as I tend to do when I read by myself, I discuss it and have conversations about it… Like I’m talking to the dead and here I was thinking about my son, what I was reading and how our society fixates more on the question of death rather than the connection that we are missing when we failed to recognize how we are alive with them.

It is all part of this all expenses, never ending journey of self discovery and deepening our self-awareness and I’m here for all of it as a student and teacher always.

Blessings for your journey of wisdom. May you continue to pass it on rather than keep it limited to superficial d*@th 📚📚📚

It was time for a visit & silent conversation.

I’ve been going up every week.

He’s different. He inspires me to think differently and to observe more deeply.

He’s quirky, effortlessly sweet, curious and teaches me.

A bit of a familiar mirror.

My favorite thing to do is simply stand there with him & breathe with him.

I met two of his friends, and I love them so much too, but this one, he’s different. He was different from the start with his short tail, his pink nose, the scar in the middle of his forehead, his split ears, smaller, amber eyes and his sweet white eyelashes… the softness of his muzzle, the constant playful curiosity…

Many horse people would say that the things I see are pretty typical… downplay a perception of a baseline normal in a forgotten fresh eye and a close-up connection to the mirror of the divine.

I believe all of the qualities that I appreciate that are super simple in a horse are the same as in people and most of the different people that I meet or I connect with have a subtle simplicity to them that is so easy to love and so beautiful that those seem feelings and connections appear as traits with fresh eyes every time that to some who may not feel what they see overlook…

That energy (the feeling) it’s freedom, and I am more than grateful he shares that feeling with me and that I can receive the understanding of that feeling.

This boy, he was rescued from slaughter.

His name is Tonto and he is simply beautiful, because he’s present, and I don’t care what anyone says about this I truly believe that he is grateful and happy to be alive and I know that feeling well.

It’s a lesson and continuing to be curious in each and every moment and rediscover each moment as they present themselves. There’s no overthinking only Being.

Whatever part of the journey this is in his presence represents, it has been something to look forward to that. I believe my son was divine responsible. I swear he sends me animals to remind me that love is easy when you are Being Love yourself.

It could not be more simple.

I always know that I’m going to learn something every time I go to the little farm.

Aside from what I learned, it is a regular gratitude practice for me.

The value of caring so deeply, and feeling what that means has always shown me meaning and purpose in my life.

When we can’t identify what we are doing in our lives that have meaning and purpose and we don’t see beyond the fear it will hurt everything we know.

Living in fear only covers the truth of our being.

Anyone who has a pet and has cared for a pet and felt a deep connection… especially when the pet isn’t feeling well. This is where empathy can reflect on us.

Do this with yourself first and see what happens to all of the people around you… care for yourself as deeply as you love and care for something else whether it be animals or plants… I believe when we improve the relationship with ourselves, everything improves…

I know this to be true.

It is practice.

You can read all the books you want, but if you’re not practicing life, you’re not living it to the fullest, in the light, and we all deserve that… to feel that.

I wish you could see all of the animals faces when I brought out the first little carrot pieces. That was after we spent time simply Being together, intentionally, not motivated by treats or anything like that they didn’t know I had anything until I was ready to leave. And after each of them finished being groomed.

They weren’t expecting it and they were still awesome.

Whatever makes you happy today use that energy to bring a smile to someone else’s face.

I love you massive amounts because I don’t know any different and ignorance is bliss in this case 😍😍😍😍🐴🐴🐴🐴🐐🐐🐐✨⚡️🦄

This is Dena.🌀🎉

She’s one of the most special people in this world and I don’t think she realizes that herself and if she does, she keeps it locked up until hip-hop class and I’m sure there haven’t been too many between these little clips of when I met Dena and started to get to know her.

I’m not sure how many years have passed, but it doesn’t matter because this is continuation.

Dena, I can’t begin to tell you how important you are in my life and to my growth and development as a mother, sister, a friend and a being.

This isn’t about being human it’s about being energy.

I met you in a hip-hop class taught by your own daughter, in Sedona of all places!

I was nervous, but was determined to show up and to do my best, and I met this woman who I instantly connected with. We tended to match each other‘s energy and we were the kids in the back of the class goofing off then would talk after class for hours like we had lifetimes to catch up on.

From the moment I met you, I saw this Greek goddess with light all around her. I’m going to make this short and sweet because I’m starting to cry.

That light is all I see and it is what I know you share with every single person you connect with.

Your light goes beyond your beauty, which is what I know shines love from deep in your giant heart.

You are a pillar of support raising for incredibly thoughtful, beautiful, and distinctly loving children, and even though we no longer live in the same town, I feel the energy of your purity of love and grace, always.

Happy continuation, beautiful beautiful Dena.

The castle awaits where the gardens are lush, and our quarters are ready to host the rest of the fantastic journey that awaits us! And no princes allowed except for Parker.🦄

I have so much love and respect for these beautiful women who show up in embodiment of their present and illuminated selves🌕

Thank you for experiencing this beautiful evening together, as a collective, intentionally highlighting and reflecting what we have chosen to clear and release, that no longer serves our BEing, and what we are bringing forward to share in the light of the fruits of our labor, realizing the seeds we had planted are the result of tremendous growth and personal development.

We acknowledged and celebrated what we are carrying forward in abundance and actively, intentionally let go of what was not traveling with us without judgment.

We created essences we explored to take with us, supporting our presence and shared moments of movement, meditation and pranayama, clearing space for our newest moments of life’s adventures to come!
