One thing dancing has taught me about life, is that resilience isn’t about never falling. It’s about finding the strength to keep moving. Some days you feel unstoppable. Other days, simply getting out of bed feels like an accomplishment. Some days you’re in your FLOW. Other days, you’re just trying to make it through the song. BOTH COUNT. Because consistency isn’t about showing up at your best every single day. It’s about showing up even when things aren’t going your way. Even when you’re tired. Even when you’re frustrated. Even when life feels like it’s throwing EVERYTHING at you. You keep going. You keep learning. You keep choosing yourself. Today’s Master Footwork class reminded me exactly why I love doing this. Watching an entire room come together to learn, struggle a little, figure it out, GROOVE, and eventually find their FLOW is such a rewarding feeling. ❤️ And what I loved most? THE SMILES. I walked away from this class feeling ACCOMPLISHED. Not because everyone learned a combo, but because the room felt connected, challenged, and JOYFUL. JUST. DO. IT. Seriously. Sometimes that’s the cheat code because Letting go in class is such a mental process. “What if I’m not good enough?” “What if I mess up?” “What if I look stupid?” “What if everyone sees me?” “What if I can’t do it perfectly?” But what a BEAUTIFUL feeling it is when you finally stop trying to control every little thing and just… LET GO. ❤️ And trust me, even as a professional, I still get caught in my own thoughts sometimes. But here’s what I’ve learned: what you tell yourself isn’t always the truth. Sometimes you don’t need another explanation. Sometimes you just need to say FUCK IT and do the damn thing. 😂💃🏽 Give yourself permission! Dance bigger. Make the mistake. Be seen. Laugh at yourself. Try it again. Find the groove. LET. GO.
