One thing dancing has taught me about life, is that resilience isn’t about never falling. It’s about finding the strength to keep moving.

Some days you feel unstoppable. Other days, simply getting out of bed feels like an accomplishment.

Some days you’re in your FLOW. Other days, you’re just trying to make it through the song.

BOTH COUNT.

Because consistency isn’t about showing up at your best every single day. It’s about showing up even when things aren’t going your way.

Even when you’re tired.
Even when you’re frustrated.
Even when life feels like it’s throwing EVERYTHING at you.

You keep going. You keep learning. You keep choosing yourself.

And sometimes, showing up is the biggest victory of them all. 🥹❤️

So if life has been feeling a little HEAVY lately, consider this your invitation to come dance with us.

We’re six days out 🧞‍♀️

Bachata was danced long before it was taught. It grew up on patios and in colmados in the Dominican Republic, shaped by the music first and the steps second.

IntensiveX: Back to the Roots is our return to that starting point. Over three days we’re asking one question: what changes when you understand where a movement comes from, not just how it looks?

Luis Talavera, Sabrina Con Flow, and Nicole Diaz are coming at that question from three directions. Luis brings Afro-Latin and urban foundations, Sabrina brings musicality and performance, and Nicole brings traditional & fusion structure and partnership. Together that’s 10+ hours of music, history, solo work, and partnerwork, with each session building on the one before.

It’s open level and culture-driven, and it’s built so you can use what you learn on the social floor that same night 🖤

The way you interpret a sound. The way you play with your timing. The way you take a fundamental movement and make it completely YOURS.

Being bold enough to experiment, break down your basics, and put your own personality into them is what makes someone stop and say…

“WOW! I wanna look like THAT when I grow up!” 😂👏🏽

And when you combine that individuality with musical awareness?!

WHEWWWW. UNMATCHED.

That’s the kind of freedom I want my students to experience.

Not to dance like ME, but to understand the music and their fundamentals well enough to discover what makes THEM unique. ❤️

IDK who’d I be without DANCE ❤️🎶

Dance is exercise. It’s a stress reliever. It’s a way to disconnect from the world while reconnecting with yourself and people who share the same joy. Sometimes healing is simply giving yourself somewhere to move, laugh, sweat, connect, and forget about the outside world for a little while.
