POV: I’m a dance teacher, of course my birthday party is a dance class 💃🏽🔥💋

And let me just say, my baddies were FEELING themselves with this one! 😮‍💨 So proud of my friends for showing up, showing OUT, and bringing all the fuego! ❤️‍🔥

Thank you guys 🥹✨for kicking off my birthday weekend with me — dancing the night away (on a school night), surrounded by good energy, doing what I love ♎️🥳

Another year older, but these knees still locked in 🤪💪

We’re six days out 🧞‍♀️

Comment ROOTS and we’ll send you everything you need for the weekend🇩🇴

Bachata was danced long before it was taught. It grew up on patios and in colmados in the Dominican Republic, shaped by the music first and the steps second.

IntensiveX: Back to the Roots is our return to that starting point. Over three days we’re asking one question: what changes when you understand where a movement comes from, not just how it looks?

Luis Talavera, Sabrina Con Flow, and Nicole Diaz are coming at that question from three directions. Luis brings Afro-Latin and urban foundations, Sabrina brings musicality and performance, and Nicole brings traditional & fusion structure and partnership. Together that’s 10+ hours of music, history, solo work, and partnerwork, with each session building on the one before.

It’s open level and culture-driven, and it’s built so you can use what you learn on the social floor that same night 🖤
