Writing a new album takes time, patience, and a ton of inspiration.
Here's some behind the scenes clips of working out new riffs and ideas ans we piece a new song together...
It currently has no name... saved as "You Better Save This" 🫡😅

We're trying with so many new ideas and constructs: Odd time signatures, interesting scales and modes, and of course new influences we've yet to tap into in previous songs.

Contortion, as a band, has always worked to give our fans and audience something new, unique, and diverse. We are currently toying with more progressive sounds, blending in black and death metal tricks into what we are writing.

Would you like to see more of the process? Should we make more vids of how these things come together?
Let us know in the comments!!!

Thank you all!!! See you again soon. 🙏🏼🤘

Gawd damn it cannot express what an amazing shows this was.
I'd waited 3 years to see @artbatmusic again since I'd last seen them in Tulum.
They were phenomenal!!!
Likewise, @ericprydz was so cool to see!

So glad I'd attended the event.

Amazing sets. Great company. And an all-around fun evening at Core LA.

Happy birthday to my darling angel.
Today she would be 11 years old. ❤️

Another year, another garden.
This time, we've planted in Oregon at one of my dearest and oldest friends' homes. 🙌

For those who wish to also celebrate this day, please spread more color into the world. Plant your own flowers wherever the mood strikes. 🙏🏼🏵

A million thanks to @jeanne_irie_iridescent for this ritual and practice. As many know, this is an annual thing for me, and the idea was all her's to begin with. I've carried it on wherever I am in the world.
It brings me a modicum of peace to bring more vibrancy and beauty into the world just as Larissa had brought into ours.
