queer bass music nights, warm community vibes 🫶 Kjipuktuk (hfx)

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In almost 2 years of Coupl'a Queers, this is the first time we've had to postpone one of our events. It was not an easy decision to make, we are so looking forward to getting cozy with you all!

From the beginning, our goal was to bring different corners of the community together in our shared love for bass music and desire for safer spaces. And that will never change. And fingers crossed we can get us all back together sooner than later!

But for now, in order to continue our goal and deliver the warm community energy you've come to expect from us, we need time to make some changes. This isn't a cancellation, it's just a "give us a min" 🫶

Refunds will be issued ASAP. 🖤

See ya when we have a new date secured!
And thank you all so much for supporting Coupl'a Queers!! 🌈 by @couplaqueers

A fresh face for Coupl'a Queers - we are so excited to have @flyjetsetr throw down a heavyyyyy set for us! The bass is really loud, did I hear something about mascs dropping from the ceiling to put on our faces?? 👀✈️

We are unleashing TempoTantrum on you all once again... You might need some ibuprofen for your necks after this 😵 I heard she's bringing breakcore & neurofunk bangers (one thing about her is Tempo's gonna Tantrum) so get READY to be slayed by bass!! 🔊

"TempoTantrum is a Drum & Bass DJ whose approach is all about control, momentum, and feel. She brings flawless rhythm and timing built to bring you on an absolute bass journey.

Her roots in Drum & Bass run deep, bringing a confident sound with respect to soundsystem culture. She knows when to lock into a groove and when to push the energy forward, reading the crowd with precision, creating sets that feel alive rather than rehearsed."

You know you wanna get cozy in front of the PK bins, make your plans for HEAVY BASS PJ PARTY 2.0!

We had the absolute pleasure and honour of vending @couplaqueers HONEYPOT event at @rumours.hfx last Friday, and it was such a magical, wholesome, fuelled by Love💕 experience…

And btw we haven’t always been able to end up making a recap post of the event we are part of because as much as we would love to, sometimes we just have so much on our plate living our entrepreneurial creative lives that we don’t have the time to do every single thing that we wanna do!

and lately the weeks have just been flying by so fast. Anyone else resonate with us, like holy shit it’s almost June.??

anyWho, we just want to say a big thank you to Jess and Julien aka @phrognosis and @wrmiidubs aka @couplaqueers for putting SO MUCH LOVE AND ENERGY into your events,

We truly appreciate that we are always included, and there is a space for us to vend @bassbusterz , we love you both so much, and just wanted to let you know that you are absolutely killing it all of the time, from the effort and detail that you put into the decor, the promo, the canva graphics, the costume contests, the themes, the sound, the lineup, having flow artist, having vendors, and really caring about hosting a safe inclusive space, the sky really is the limit for what you are growing here, and we are so excited to be on board with you for this journey, cannot wait for the next one after festival season💚💜💗

To the fam, if you were at the event or even if you weren’t and you still love what they are doing, please hype up @couplaqueers in the comments here because they are so awesome and valuable to our community and we want
to take this opportunity to show them a lot of love🧡

I'm having a hard time finding words, last night was so fun, the visuals came out so perfect complete with Jess' handmade pieces, and each and every performer brought their best and it warms my heart seeing the care everyone put into this vision 🖤
Emersyn Evren Chaulk Lumen Baines thank you for keeping everyone hype, the performances, dancing, and energy were top notch and you made the place look so good!
Rowan Currie Cory Larose Lucy Skyy Brendan Sutcliffe thank you for throwing down incredible sets, the diverse genres and good vibes were felt by everyone in the room 🙏

Vendors Bass Busterz Spiteful Electric & Creative Chaos Coven for filling the place with your beautiful wares 🙏

Dani Hillier The Observatory had the lights perfection!

Of course big thank you to the Rumours HFX owners and staff for providing us a beautiful venue and taking care of our attendees. It's so appreciated 🖤

Also, the biggest thank you of all, to Chris Hillier for being a top tier human, who not only had us sounding perfect but is a safe space squished into a human body and believes in us. Your support means the world.

Our next event after festival season will be early October and really hope to see you all on the dance floor then 🙏 already cooking up concepts 😏

We work incredibly hard on these events, refuse the convenience of genAI, everything you see promoted was created by our own hands and writeups in our own words, and we do it this way because we love our community and want to uplift queers and women/femme people like the absolute stars they are.

So big thank you from Coupl'a Queers Events , have the best and safest summer, and we will see you around at festivals ✨

So much love!!!
