OHHH @futureforestfestival - I always tear up when I hit that road beside the river. What is there to say about this year? It was different, but one of my favorites to date. After years of being on media, to playing a few sets, I joined my pals on the Nest stage crew 🐸🥚🖤 and I couldn't have asked for a better team. If you didn't catch @kudos_lokey B2B @fractalcodemusic B2B @qurse.audio .... You missed out on some really good tunes and fun times. The art this year was beautiful, I barely had my phone out or took as many photos as I wanted. Mushroom was my second home, and Nest now my 1st. The fact that Nest was frogs reminded me that I'm on the right path, I'm exactly where I'm meant to be. I got to join my best friend @wrmiidubs to bring some 420 vibes on Sunday Funday. Not to mention, after asking them to book him for what feels like years- I got to actually chat with @contra.slaps after my favourite set of the weekend(his of course, wrmii caught a video of me absolutely vibing) Grateful is the simplest of words that come to mind but the feeling is much deeper than that. Thank you to those that made this a really special one for me. I think I've got my spark back- but first... I'm still recovering as a chronic pain baddie 💅 😴 xoxoxo taken in Future Forest by @phrognosis

Ribbit ribbit... It's the phrog! 🐸 They know a thing or two about sticky icky bass music, and we are so ready to immerse 🍯 @phrognosis Phrögnosis is a non-binary DJ based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax), Nova Scotia, known for weaving together deep, brain-tickling bass with immersive, groove-forward storytelling. Their sound lives in the liminal spaces — murky lows, textured rhythms, and moments of tension that ripple into release. With a penchant for the deep and delightfully dank, Phrögnosis has a rare ability to ride the wave while simultaneously shaping it — crafting sets that feel alive, unpredictable, and fully embodied. Equal parts swamp mystic and dancefloor instigator, they create an atmosphere where the crowd sinks in, locks together, and moves as one. They’ve brought their signature pond energy to notable East Coast stages including Relics Music Festival, Critical Mass, and Future Forest Music & Arts Festival — steadily building a reputation for sets that are as thoughtful as they are heavy. Tier 1 tickets are sold out! Grab yours today and join the hive 🐝 Coupl'a Queers presents: HONEYPOT May 22, 10-3:30 @rumours.hfx 1668 Lower Water St. Link in b!0 by @phrognosis

Our final artist announcement... A duo that are no strangers to the queer bass music scene... It's FERAL aka @wrmiidubs & @phrognosis! The pair behind Coupl'a Queers Events - these two humans(?) deliver big bass and silly energy that you won't be forgetting anytime soon... ✨👽 -- @wrmiidubs Bass music for the queers, weirds & neurodivergent pals. WRMII is a lil' East Coast nonbinary bass babe with a love for community projects. Their sound is distinct - deep, dark & a little strange. Beyond their bass-heavy sets, WRMII is an avid community supporter. They co-produce shows by Coupl'a Queers, co-op shows where ALL profits are split between the performers, who are primarily femme, queer, and trans artists. They have been spotted all across the Maritimes, playing events such as Halifax Pride mainstage, Future Forest, Raven Forest, Vitality Festival and Critical Mass. WRMII is here to represent and demand space for our queer and neurodivergent communities. You do not want to miss the nonsense within the wormhole. Get ready to squirm. 🐛 -- @phrognosis Phrögnosis is a non-binary DJ based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax), Nova Scotia- They are known for their brain-tickling sounds, and rhythmic storytelling. Not only that, they are one of the co-producers of Coupl'a Queers, where they primarily showcase femme, queer and trans artists. Phrögnosis brought their signature pond energy to notable East Coast stages including Relics Music Festival, Critical Mass, and Future Forest Music & Arts Festival — steadily building a reputation for sets that are as thoughtful as they are heavy. Enter the swamp. Get deep. Get weird. Get delightful. This little froglet can’t wait to see you in the pond. Ready for these swamp creatures to bring the bog & bass?? Snag your tix now!
