Our final artist announcement... A duo that are no strangers to the queer bass music scene... It's FERAL aka @wrmiidubs & @phrognosis!

The pair behind Coupl'a Queers Events - these two humans(?) deliver big bass and silly energy that you won't be forgetting anytime soon... ✨👽

@wrmiidubs

Bass music for the queers, weirds & neurodivergent pals. WRMII is a lil' East Coast nonbinary bass babe with a love for community projects. Their sound is distinct - deep, dark & a little strange. Beyond their bass-heavy sets, WRMII is an avid community supporter. They co-produce shows by Coupl'a Queers, co-op shows where ALL profits are split between the performers, who are primarily femme, queer, and trans artists. They have been spotted all across the Maritimes, playing events such as Halifax Pride mainstage, Future Forest, Raven Forest, Vitality Festival and Critical Mass. WRMII is here to represent and demand space for our queer and neurodivergent communities. You do not want to miss the nonsense within the wormhole. Get ready to squirm. 🐛

@phrognosis

Phrögnosis is a non-binary DJ based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax), Nova Scotia- They are known for their brain-tickling sounds, and rhythmic storytelling. Not only that, they are one of the co-producers of Coupl'a Queers, where they primarily showcase femme, queer and trans artists. Phrögnosis brought their signature pond energy to notable East Coast stages including Relics Music Festival, Critical Mass, and Future Forest Music & Arts Festival — steadily building a reputation for sets that are as thoughtful as they are heavy.

Round 2 Episode 4 of Wildcard Wednesdays last week with @theyferal was a much needed fun, silly, and bassy night!

“FERAL is a duo based out of Kjipuktuk (Halifax), consisting of Julien (@iinchworm_ ) and Jess (@phrognosis ): friends for half our lives and deeply connected through our love for music. They are here for all things heavy bass, silly vibes, and challenging the status quo.

They are unmatched chemistry. mutual rotating thoughts, feelings, morality.

we are FERAL, and you will be too. 👺”

It’s always a lot of fun jamming with other duos and seeing how they collaborate and make it work, and there truly is so much love and heart between these two, it was an absolute pleasure having them on the show.

We ask every Wildcard applicant what they are currently manifesting, and here is what Feral said:

“Currently manifesting fostering greater diversity and inclusivity within our community. (And affordable housing for all)”

We are manifesting this with you @theyferal ! Thank you for bringing your light, your music, and your vibes to our space. Every day in every way we are blessed with the best most talented and creative friends and family. Big love homies 💗 by @theyferal
