Before September ends, a big shoutout to @herworldsingapore for featuring me in their “To Know” segment. I speak about how I love to integrate heritage pieces in my everyday wardrobe and also my love for prints and colours. I feel that how we dress is a non-verbal way of communicating who we are or how we are feeling, plus, it’s such a mood lifter! Thought I would cap the year end by documenting this feature on @harpersbazaarsg Most Stylish Women ‘21 where I was fortunate enough to be included. It has been a tumultuous 2021 and while fashion continues to inspire and mirror our aspirations, it was surreal to be contacted by @thsnygg for the shoot, groomed by @toni.tan and @grego7go and having my photo taken by @weekhimstudio. It was only when I was at the shoot that I realised how much I missed having conversation over fashion with like minded individuals like @windyaulia and the rest of the editorial team as I introduced pieces from my favourite Malaysian 🇲🇾 designers. This was my way to express how much I miss being with friends and family back in Malaysia. Thank you for such a warm reminder of how much I love fashion. Here’s to a better 2022 for all of us. Started with a love for heritage dressing, patterns and prints and then to be featured in a luxury fashion magazine is a character development arc I was not expecting! A short feature write up on my favourite things, places and inspirations. Thank you for the feature @glammalaysia @aizataidid JAN’ 26 I introduced my interpretation of contemporary heritage wear at @_aweness_ at Rasa Space. 2 months earlier, @yilianng pitched me the idea of having my own retail space at her curated independent brand fair and I asked “Sell what?” 🤣 Took me months of ruminating before I fully brought out the brand direction : dopamine coded heritage inspired womenswear. And then, we were off! 🚀 Photoshoot Put on a wig, a rainbow checkered seersucker kebaya and a matching midi wrap skirt. This became our best seller. FEB ‘26 Started our Heritage Textile Series to share stories about textiles, heritage and our collective journeys to this little red dot. MARCH ‘26 Had a photo shoot with local brand @grayestudio where we styled @henne.made with their contemporary pieces. Check out their wire Tshirt I’m wearing, you can twist the fabric and manipulate it as you like. Genius! Sampling and refining Sometimes, designs need many iterations to get it right. We made a detachable centre panel (bef) so you can wear the kebaya kutubaru 3-ways. APRIL ‘26 More photo shoots Sometimes, I enjoy posing in front of the camera. This was one of those moments. Dressed @hudaramdzan for an upcoming play featuring 5 of Singapore’s most notable Malay women. The producer @neurafaye chose the Rainbow Pelikat kebaya kutubaru and skirt to bring her character to life. MAY’ 26 @hudaramdzan brought her characters to life on the opening night of @malayheritage in Kota Impian. Playing 5 female characters backed by an all women band. Women power! More tweaking I always wear, wash and then tweak. Stress testing each piece. AUG ‘26 Henne Made popped up at @nelissahilman hosted by @nelissahilman_ in KL opening up the brand to a larger audience. I had zero expectations and was keen to listen to feedback. Kain Pulicat was the central theme to our collection and we wanted to bring that stor by @dahliamohd

Was doing a daily outfit check for @henne.made pop up over the weekend and someone was in the way. 🤣 No way was I going to let the Coromandel kebaya and matching skirt go to waste, so I made the hotel entrance my runway.
