My skin just became the celebrity and I got to tag along. 💙

When @eeling.fock told me she wanted to do an event for the launch of @iwantthemissingpiece’s very first athleisure capsule at @playpicklesg’s courts, I was seriously stoked. Because TMP + pickleball is like hello??? 🤯 <— this is me with no words

Seeing all these fab women and friends playing pickleball in the new TMP Movement collection was so amazing. The Off Court sports bra with Game On skorts in dusky blue is obv my favourite (Chinese knot buttons on a pickleball fit!), but the whole collection is seriously stylish, shoes included!

Beautiful, elegant and timeless, the kebaya is not just a garment. It is an invisible thread that connects all of us.

There are many ways of using it: fastened with brooches, pinned or without. There are various lengths and variations depending on geography and culture.

Despite this, it has become one of the most recognizable and common garments in Southeast Asia worn by women of all ethnicities, race and nationalities. From mother to daughter, the kebaya is worn at life’s important milestones like weddings but also carries everyday stories with the same brevity.

Here is our interpretation, a continuation of that thread from generations past to the present. And our hope that it carries on to the future.

Our adaptation of the kebaya Kutubaru is with the hope that having multiway use will increase its longevity and wearability of the kebaya in your everyday.

The challenge is no longer if you know of the cultural value or significance of the kebaya but how you would wear your kebaya this week?
