Being comfortable in your skin
This has been quite a foreign concept for me for years. For starters, I used to weigh a 104kgs (I was morbidly obese).
Yeah you read that right
Then after shedding all that fat and weight I was left with quite a bit of loose skin which made me very uncomfortable with wearing crop tops or showing my mid riff.

Ever since the first lockdown, I got used to working out at home wearing shorts or a sports bra, which I would never dare sport in the gym. Working out at home gave me the confidence to wear whatever I wanted, it made me more comfortable with my flaws, especially the things I hated about my body.

When the gyms reopened and I started gaining momentum, I started trying to wear "outfits" that made me feel good or look good for myself. As you know already, I dress up to go to the gym, but what the lockdown changed for me is that I started wearing clothes that I would earlier feel conscious in. I started with shorts, then I progressed to crop tops.

Day before was monumental for me because I actually worked out in a sports bra, something that I would only do at home or when I'm working out alone.

I was extremely conscious throughout and I kept adjusting my clothes. But I'm glad I did something like that. I won't say I'm entirely comfortable in my skin but I'm trying to be!
