Abby’s fourth baby.

After weeks of waiting, this little nugget came on my one off day and right before a double header weekend. In the midst of all the crazy final adjustments (moving, new job, summer wedding schedule) these things just make life stand still a bit. Rowan is the fourth baby that I have had the honor of photographing during labor and delivery and holding in my arms within 24 hours. When her two older sisters came to be with during the experience, I couldn’t help but look at the oldest - all grown up in her ability to love her new sibling and remember her birth years ago - I thought about (again) how lucky I am to do this.

God throws us life experiences and callings that we would never expect and that completely satisfy us. And sometimes it doesn’t matter what else is happening in my life, I’m just happy to have been a birth photographer once again this past month ❤️ by @dailysteena

JULY 2026

1. Gardening, after nap tea, and Nanoo 🐑🌱

2. HAPPY BIRFDAY AMERIKAAA 🇺🇸

3. Watching Little House On The Prairie,which then inspired us to be in fighting condition for any frontier-related stressors that might hit us in life @christatousley @snapfitness 🌾

4. “These are all babies that my mom is going to have. All of them are baby boys.” 😳🙏🏼🐠

5. Found a little film video camera that made it to a @harvestweddingfilms party 🎉

6. Doing my due diligence to make sure certain cowgirl books reach the next generation 🤠

7. Oh, got some film for that video camera. The question is, do I bring it to the state fair this year. Hmm. 🎞️

8. Thrifted a grandma vest to wear while doing modern business girl things!! 😍🎨

9. Somehow got an unexplainable, non-contagious, long-lasting rash all over my body but then stopped it in it’s tracks and healed it because my mother made me smart like that 🫚

10. Someone made his own kite and wanted to “wait until the wind picked up” 🥹🌬️

11. The first of the 1935 Oasis gals got engaged 💍 It’s a really beautiful thing.

JUNE 2026

1-2. The prettiest, most relaxing engagement session I ever did have in Milwaukee, WISCONSIN. Half of the time I was working with the most lovely couple and half the time I was digging my toes down into warm sand. All of it felt like a 24 hour vacation ☀️⛱️

3. After church brunch with gals + Hank ⛪️🍳☕️

4-5. Only had one truly bad Hinge date. Took myself to Excelsior afterward to stare at some sailboats in my cute outfit, picked up Maynerd’s fries, and cracked open a bottle of wine on @amablake’s porch 🎉⛵️

6. Shooting left and right and it has been FUN 🎞️📸

7. I hope to recieve texts like this from @elisabeth.boe1 until the day that I die 🎬

8. Ate a lot of breakfasts at @smithedenprairie 🌾

9. The new nanny esthetic is really killing me💋🌹‼️

10. Introducing Carl to a new generation. If you know, you know 🐾📚

AND CAN WE EVEN BELIEVE THAT THIS MONTHLY RECAP HAS BEEN DONE ON TIME. Always in awe of a slow build from God when I start to see it. This month felt like the last month where big things shifted and settled. New job, new routine, and new opportunities all lay ahead for me in July and into this summer (new house in September!!) and it feels like I survived 🥹❤️

God knows how to improve our hearts best.

MAY 2026

1. LET THE 2026 KAYAK SEASON BEGIN!!!

2. Just allow me one good one zinger 😏

3. One DSLR, lots of film that isn’t mine, and our drink of choice. Wedding season has begun 📷😍

4-5. Gals dinner and going out for a wee little nightcap with @carlylta where we probably responded to that poor man with my one good zinger 🍸🪩

6. WHEN COLORADO TEXTS YOU THAT THEY HAVE A SIX HOUR LAYOVER YOU..

7. PULL OUT ALL THE STOPS. And kayak of course. For the third year in a row, @joshhughes has been around for the first kayak of the season and introducing him to Lake of the Isles was an honor 🥹

MARCH 2026

1. Thrifting book game and the @goodreads rat race still going strong 📚🫆

2-3. First birthday for the long awaited girly heir of the Anderson family - Tilly! You already rock 🎀🥰

4. Theo gets so depressed when I edit 💻

5. Maynerd’s outdoor seating, even in March. No bad weather, only bad clothing. Always good fries 🐟🥔

6. I made a list of survival skills to learn. Anything I’m missing? 👟🗺️🫡

7-9. Scrapbook retreat looked a little different this year with the youngest members EVER to join in ✂️ My favorite task is partnering with Amanda to make sure these girlies have proper intro into long our shared hobbies 🍷

Stealing vibes from @carlmacaroni and wondering how much I can pay her monthly just to edit from this old man pilot lounge because I know that inspiration and creativity is probably hiding under their old dusty flight plans 🥹✈️☕️

Also, it’s a sobering day when you text your family “if you don’t hear from me in an hour, I’ve died from a plane crash” and really no one is that concerned.

The rest of a favorite, favorite series.

Watching Anne become a wife and a mother was a beautiful literary experience. It produced a quote that I have framed, ready to hang in any house I live in. Read: Most importantly, ready to hang in the future home I end up building one day 🥰🏡

FEBRUARY 2026

The whole month was just a slow building of resolve to have a great Valentine’s Day, which did result in a targeted Instagram that made me laugh a lot.

The resolve also seemed to work because mid-day, @carlmacaroni texted me “wanna fly?” Because her date got sick (sorry Jack BUT ALSO THANK YOU) and somehow she knew I was already in a red sweater and perfectly themed for a flight.

The first three “Anne of Green Gables” books. If you consider yourself a Kindred Spirit but have never read these books, you are gravely mistaken. The romance between Anne and Gil? Probably the most softly thrilling friendship I have ever read.

My middle name namesake + inspiration for many things - Anne is one of the best literary females ever created.
