Maybe 🤔 this shouldn’t be your goal?

Every one and your dog 🐕 is saying you gotta be seen more, you gotta get it on more platforms, you gotta do video and make sure it’s everywhere.

But I think it’s full BS!

Has anyone thought to check with what the public is telling us? Nope I don’t think so.

38-45% of all real estate deals is from a warm referral
28% are from people using the same realtor from before (but 88% of people polled said they’d actually use them again - but we are so bad at long term follow up it drops to 28 yikes 😳)

So that’s 73% of all deals from current or directly transferred trust. And if you are half decent at staying in touch that would jump easily over 90%!

Yet we are choosing to listen 👂 to the be everywhere camp?

The be everywhere group is really damn good at being everywhere - but that group is like 1-5% of the agent population. It’s not likely you.

Play your game. Not theirs. by @darrenlangille

This is not a slant against the conventional teams at all. They have a place, I have great friends that run them, and I started my biggest growth years running one…but

What if there was another option for folks?

An option for those that want a lot of the benefits of a team, but run their own business, that don’t want to get online leads that convert at 1-1.5% and take all your time away from growing your way….

A way to get coaching, training, collaboration, technology that helps you unlock more business of your own, an office to gather with colleagues or clients, and a community you can lean on in the good and in the bad times…

And this did not have to cost you an arm and a leg? 🦵

What if this cost you no more than simply being at your brokerage anyways?

I’d love you present you @redlinerealestate - it’s unique, we are alone in offering this to the industry, and we have 5 years of stacked success proving it works since we just got awarded @realbrokerage #1s team spot for the 5th straight year.

This award is about our agents, it’s a testament to being able to build your business on your terms and have a team to lean on at the same time. It is possible.

This one I’m pretty passionate about! Agents have lost their way.

Our industry has spent a decade chasing attention versus focusing on what our clients have always hired a realtor for…

They hire us because they are undergoing their biggest life changes, and the houses just happen to represent the change that is happening.

Buying your first place.
Moving in with your loved one.
Having kids and needing more space.
Divorcing.
People passing away.
You’ve retired and that requires a different lifestyle.

The list goes on.

Each of these steps is monumental in its own right and we are the blessed to be apart of it.

We are needed to help them through these never before done steps with our industry knowledge, experience, wisdom.

Seek usefulness - stop seeking attention.

Trust matters more in this new era than ever before and creating it in what you do, share, and communicate.

This is the agent that was always needed, and this is the agent needed more than ever before.

Five years ago I almost didn’t do it.

I’d spent 13 years building a brokerage. It was profitable, it was mine, and it worked. Then I stood in front of my agents and asked them to walk away from it with me.

We’d be joining a company almost nobody had heard of, with a story that hadn’t been written yet.

It was the scariest meeting of my career.

Day one was better for every one of my agents: better tech, a bigger network, real coaching, real ownership. For me, year one hurt. The money we used to make as owners was gone, and the costs took time to unwind.

Then it caught fire.
Then Real became home.

Then the market pushed back and tested all of us. It reminded us that the stock was never the point. The people were. Work hard, be kind, we is bigger than me.

Five years later, Redline has been the #1 team in Canada at Real five years straight.

And the little nobody from 2021 just agreed to buy RE/MAX.

I won’t pretend this industry is easy right now. The pressure on agents has never been higher, and AI and the economy have everyone guessing.

But I’ve never been more sure we’re exactly where we need to be.

45 years old. 22 years in. Still a kid in a candy store.

To every agent who took that leap with me: thank you. You made the bet worth it.

Cheers to five years. 🥂

One thing I know for sure…being curious has opened more doors for me than almost everything else I’ve done combined.

And as we keep moving into a deeper shifted market knowing your options might just be the smartest move you ever make.

It will be difficult in 2027 to repeat or improve your 2026, and even harder to replicate your better years of 2025 & before.

But with help, support, services, tech and a massive community of like minded people and 15 partners invested in your success’s I’d have to think you’ll stand a heck of a chance in hitting your goals! And have lots of fun along the way.

So be curious, join us on Nov 25th for an unfiltered discussion about what we do to provide our agents with an unfair advantage at a cost you likely won’t even believe.

When the real estate market slows, strong agent skills matter most. Learn how to adapt your presentations, speak to client concerns, overcome pessimism, and show buyers and sellers why now can still be the right time to make a move.

Think about the last idea that actually changed how you work. Odds are it wasn’t in a course or a keynote. It was a rough thought in a casual moment, and you almost let it go.

Polish looks great for sharing. It’s not usually great for retaining. The best things come in the in-between.

I’m capturing mine and will be releasing them.

We are at it again next week Thursday Nov 5th 10-1130 the CREB main hall! Be there or be square.

Here is the registration link. Seats are limited. CREB gets mad if we stuff too many people in their rooms :)

We got some great feedback after Thrive Not Survive X. One comment has stuck with me ever since.

“Next time, more tactical takeaways.”

I don’t think that person is wrong for wanting it. We’ve all walked out of an event hoping for something we could use the next day.

But I’ve been on a lot of stages now, and here’s what I believe. A room full of agents is a room full of completely different businesses. Anything simple enough to fit all of them is too watered down to really help any of them.

The how-to lives on YouTube, in courses, and with a coach who’s in your business with you.

An event gives you something else, if you walk in knowing what you’re building. When you do, you’re not hoping a speaker says something you can bolt on. You’re listening for the one idea that fits what you’ve already decided to build.

Same room. Same speakers. Completely different takeaway.

Next time you’re in that seat, what are you listening for? by @darrenlangille

Two conferences down, and my head is full.

But before processing what I’ve learned, I keep coming back to the week before I left.

I’d been holding off on AI agents because I’m a control freak, super type A, it’s just my nature (like I’m sure many of the go getters out there). So I limited how far I’d let it in.

That week I decided to let go. I took the projects that had been stalled for months, the ones that felt too big to ever finish, and just started.

Honestly, it blew my mind. Years of writing, notes and spreadsheets finally got put to work. And boy oh boy did results pile up fast.

But I’ll say this. If you don’t know what you’re building, AI just helps you get distracted faster.

Now I’m heading home to get back to it. And I can see a completely different future with more possibilities than ever before.

But if I’m honest I’m scared sh&tless for those about to dive in without any idea of the end goals. Our industry has already been insanely distracted with the wrong things and now this could be the end for so many more. by @darrenlangille
