Today morning, I lost my fur baby. Blue was never just a pet. He was the first face I looked for whenever I came home, the one who would run into my arms and fill my days with unconditional love. A part of my life will always feel incomplete without him. I love you so much, Blue. You will stay in my heart forever. I promise to celebrate every birthday, cherish every memory, and always keep a part of you alive through the love you gave me. Rest in peace, my baby. You fought so hard until the very end. You were the gentlest soul, loved by everyone who met you. I’m sorry I couldn’t do more. I hope you’re finally free from pain and at peace wherever you are. Last week was incredible. Even with heavy rains across the city, we saw people walking in with the same love and excitement. We genuinely thought Friday and Saturday would be slow, but they turned out to be two of our highest-selling days. The best part? Watching people of all age groups come together over good food. We saw families, friends, and even tables of 20+ guests dining together. Along with that came inquiries for catering, franchises, and so much more. Looking back at the last three months, we’re truly grateful. We hear every single suggestion you share, and we’re working on them faster than ever. This Friday, we’re launching Sampurn Kaapi Bar with an exciting range of speciality filter coffee, handcrafted desserts, and some of the internet’s most-loved viral desserts. Despite the rains, dessert orders increased by almost 25–30%, and Sunday was an absolute blockbuster. Seeing people come just for desserts made us incredibly happy. Swipe to read more Of course, there were a few learnings too. Many of you felt our Podi was slightly sweet. That’s because it’s made the authentic Bangalore Brahmin-style way, using jaggery instead of sugar. But we heard your feedback. Soon, we’ll be introducing a Spicy Podi alongside our Classic Podi, so you can choose whichever you prefer. Another request we hear almost every day is for a bigger space. Yes, we’re working on that too. We’re in the process of finalising a larger outlet that delivers an even better experience while keeping the same warmth, food, and hospitality you’ve come to love. One thing that’s been disappointing is seeing Google remove genuine customer reviews because of changes in its AI moderation system. My sleep has been disturbed, and everything feels so different without you. I gave my life to you, and you gave me so much more in return. You were, and will always be, my strongest boy. When an entire city relies on Buy 1 Get 1, heavy discounts, and freebies, we’ve chosen to rely on something else what happens after the first bite. Every freebie campaign attracts a certain type of customer. Many come for the offer, not for the food. And when the offer ends, so does the relationship. We wanted to build something different. To us, hospitality begins long before someone walks into Sampurn. It starts with the intention behind every ingredient, every recipe, every conversation, and every plate we serve. And it continues when someone takes that first bite and decides they’re coming back not because of a discount, but because they genuinely loved the experience. Building Sampurn was never about opening another dosa restaurant. It was about creating a brand that could become a legacy. A place that can grow from one outlet to ten, fifty, or even a hundred, without compromising on what made people fall in love with it in the first place. We’ve never chased lower costs by replacing quality ingredients with cheaper alternatives. While many switch to lower-grade oils to save money, we’ve stayed committed to our standards. Even when coriander went from ₹30–40/kg to nearly ₹300/kg, we never reduced the quantity or quality on our plates. Keeping food costs under 30–35% is challenging. But that’s only one part of the business. There are salaries, overtime, rent, electricity, maintenance, training, wastage, and countless other expenses that people rarely see Our 600 sq. ft. outlet runs every day with a team of more than 15 people because that’s what it takes to deliver consistency. The clip you’re watching is from a Thursday a regular weekday. Yet every table was occupied. That’s not because of a one-day promotion. That’s what happens when people genuinely enjoy what you serve and choose to come back. Three months ago, we said Sampurn would become a place people keep returning to. Today, despite limited parking and waiting queues, people still choose to wait. And yes, one thing we’re incredibly proud of… A much bigger Sampurn is on its way. Stay tuned. First trials are always special and we didn’t expect them to turn out this good! We’ve always believed that when the ingredients are pure, the taste speaks for itself. We planned our trials for Tuesday, and we made it happen. The idlis were incredibly soft. The rice quality was good, but we’ll be switching it to make it even better. The medu vadas were absolutely to die for paired with chutneys and sambar, it’s pure heaven. Benne dosa, ghee dosa, and even the open butter benne dosa all turned out amazing. We just need to tweak the batter slightly to get that perfect brownish texture. But the taste and crispiness? Exactly what we were aiming for. We’ve achieved 70% of what we want in our dosa. A few more trials, and we’ll get it just right the best version we’re aiming for. “Sampurn” means complete - complete in taste, authenticity, and ingredients. Stay tuned!
